    Hey guys,

    I had some success with content locking in the past, ideally I should have stuck with what I was doing but I had other committments, now my hosting has expired and I have no money to renew it...

    I`m currently trying to content lock some game related softwares but it is doing terrible.

    I have a TubeToolbox license which is very useful to send mass share messages, but I just need a rough idea what kind of things are working well for you guys

    Please post:

    1. What content you are locking (Don`t have to be too specific)
    2. How much its earning you

    This would be a great help to me!

    I'm going to throw this out there right now so there isn't any questions later, I just had 3 cups of coffee, so I'm probably going to jump around in my typing - so if you feel like I'm not writing a well constructed reply, I'm very sorry. Now then...

    Is Tubetoolbox still around? I heard they got a DMCA report.

    Anyways,

    1. I don't think anybody is really going to tell you. What you think of is always going to be pure gold. Well, not exactly. If you think of your own GREAT niche that nobody else uses, it will ALWAYS be better than someone who gives you a niche. No matter how good the niche they gave you. But to clearly answer your question, I have niches ranging from all sorts of stuff, but obviously it is pertaining to digital items. For example, the gaming category.

    2. I'm earning $100 at the moment, but I feel like it's going to drop soon. But it will be back up to there soon, and I will be aiming for $200 a day!

    Now, for some other things that I personally think would help you rank things/make it look more legit.

    Once you do find a niche in which you really think will work, and you will know that it is working later on. I can't really explain what I mean, but if you see all the earnings coming in with a decent conversion, you know it's great. You will need to get some subscribers on Youtube. If you've ever heard of Subxcess, that would be the best place to get subscribers on your Youtube channel(s). I've been trying to create a simple script for iMacros to scrape in those credits on the website, to in return, get subscribers - just got to do a little more stability kinks (it's more of how it's presented to make it run longer), and it will be released to BHW for free!

    But anyways, onto what I'm actually saying. Subscribers are great, even if they do not genuinely give a single fuck about your content - because people who DO care about your content, will assume that if you have 1,000 subscribers, they must like it. It plays a 'legit' factor into your channel.

    Likes would also be a major role in your Youtube videos, as you PROBABLY wouldn't trust a video that had 1 like and 200 dislikes. I've found that U2bviews, as well as Addmefast/Youlikehits gives some decent likes to your video, you should try that out.

    I've said this many times to people asking questions about Youtube. Quality, quality, quality. What is the point of mass uploading 2,000 videos if none of them get boosted? They aren't going to be seen by the average person trying to look for your content, because they simply aren't getting ranked. So I highly suggest you make 1-5 GREAT videos. I'm talking about the kind of video that you would see on a genuine Partnered channel. There is a reason they are partnered, because they make great videos.

    With the quality thing, I personally think with what I've been seeing since I started trying out the IM world, the video is everything. Find an After Effects intro template on Youtube, edit it to fit your channel, and use that in front of every video you upload. This will be an 'eye opener', much like you want to do at the start of writing an essay for that dreaded English class that you had to take in High School. Pick one that you can actually edit, don't add some stupid rendered images that are terrible quality. Like I said, try your hardest to make a template for all of your future videos.

    So, you have the intro, now you are going to want to add your voice. If you can't do this, I highly suggest you invest into either buying a microphone, or going onto Fiverr and trying to find a gig of someone with a nice voice that will say what you want them to say. You will want to talk about your product that you are promoting. Let's say you are trying to have a niche for 'Free Xbox 360 consoles' (I don't see how the hell you can do that, but you catch my drift)

    You/the person on Fiverr would want to treat this as if you are a business, not some kid trying to promote bullshit. Tell them your name (You can use Chris or some shit, doesn't need to be real) and tell them about your product. But also add a negative point to it, such as it may take up to 2 weeks for it to be delivered. You don't want to make it seem too good to be true, I guess it's a psychology type thing.

    So now you have the voice, and you want to have a background image that you created in Photoshop pointing out all your key features. For example:

    - You never have to pay for a console again!
    - Comes with an Xbox 360 controller

    Things such as that, just to have some content on your video.

    Then you will want to cut into your main content of the video, where you show the Xbox 360 (it can be anything).

    Create like 5 of these kind of videos, and boost them all with your typical view boosting services. That's pretty much it!

    I'd make a quality video channel and do giveaways on it as only a small part of the channel promotion. You can spam youtube all you want and make pennies, but building up a legit channel and subscriber base using GreyHat methods will get you a more stable income. Well, you can bite your nails and wonder how many thousands of ips and accounts can be blacklisted by you as you try to grind out some money, or you could sleep well being legit. Doesn't matter much to me but if you follow the above guys methods you can grind out a pretty coin.

    @OMGWTFISTHIS

    Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post :cool: I appreciate all the advice you are giving and your right quality is everything. As of tonight, the video I was using has been removed by YouTube, I was doing everything you said the video had 30,000+ views with 600+ likes and everything. But it was still removed as the content I was locking was not quite as described so users must have mass flagged it.

    @therage

    Also thanks for replying, you are correct I have decided to go legit. I have a legit partnered channel and I think I have found a way to monetize it very well in a way that will benefit my audience aswell as me :cool: I`m just getting some things together and it will be ready to roll out soon!

    I think I'm done with content locking stuff in a kinda spammy/ effortless way. My new method should work very well hopefully, if everything goes to plan!

    Thanks to both of you for your advice! You will see a post up if I do indeed succeed!

    hey, I know this thread is really old, in Internet years, but I have to ask you what your new method is? or ... was ...

    oh, and now that it's been a while since you posted this, could you tell me how it worked out for you? I'm a newbie IMer just starting out, and I really need a word of advice from an experienced person, like you.

    think about how you felt starting out ... now I'm in the exact same spot! :)

    thanks man, have a good one!

    Back in the day when I started with IM I promoted Poker companies like Full Tilt and Pokerstars. I made tons uploading poker videos and then putting a banner for the last 15 seconds saying go to XX to get a $XXX sign up bonus when using referral code XX. This worked wonders and I made thousands a month, but then the DoJ came down on those sites and I moved on to bigger and better things. I'm sure you can still do this with the existing USA accepted Poker rooms and Casinos. I also promoted email submit offers like get a free xbox etc. which I would promote in similar ways, which made me decent money, but nothing crazy.
