So even though I have low competition keywords, Google is not starting to rank my site yet. I probably need at least a few decent links to get things going. What are some easy to get, free or cheap links I can get to do this? Any good services for manual, relevant to my niche, do follow blog comments? Is it risky to buy like 15 high pr links from some of the members selling these services?

So your site isn't indexed? Make sure you do that. You can find a myriad of guides on how to do that (assuming it hasn't already happened) online. Here's a link the the first one I found when I searched for 'how to index a website'.

How old is your website? Do you have content on there?

SEO Packages will also be a good place to get started. Some are more extensive than others, but depending on what you're looking for you might find what you need.
I won't/can't recommend any specific service for a couple of reasons, but if you look there you'll find that a few services even advertise themselves as being good for a new site. adss30 has a pretty decent niche-relevant blog comment service, if that's specifically what you're looking for.

My site is indexed, just not ranking for anything in Google yet. Getting about 6-15 visits per day from Bing though. I really am good at keyword research and my keywords are low competition. It just seems like it always takes a few links to get the ball rolling and for Google to start showing me anywhere in the SERPS.

The website has been indexed in Google for 4 days. How long does it usually take for Google to start ranking the site in the top 500 (if your keywords truly are super low comp) if the site is indexed?
