Ok so my main method has been really pissing me off lately and is becoming very tedious and costing me $$ and I've tried everything under the sun to get it to work again and I'm just over it.

I'm at home on my PC 12+ hours a day non stop and sometimes skip breakfast AND lunch so I can keep at it.

I suck at everything. I have no design skills, no editing skills, etc etc. The ONLY thing I am good at tho is typing.

I found a free tool online a few weeks ago to check your speed and accuracy for typing. I finished with 82 WPM and 98.2% accuracy with zero errors (meaning I corrected all my mistakes and didn't make that many of them to begin with)

Now, I know that's not godly fast but I would say it's better than the average person? Most people I know are peckers and it would take them 10+ minutes to type something that I can type out in a minute.

So what would some job choices be for a good typist? I've already tried Google and not really finding anything.. I've heard of data entry jobs but can't seem to find something legit.

I don't mind if its at home online or a ''real job'' (quoted by all of our doubters out there)

If you can do content writing/re-writing, get Jr VIP and make a thread!

I'm hoping to get Jr VIP when I can afford it. Sadly I only had $400 in the bank and used it to go on vacation with my family a few weeks ago. Then to top it off on the way back my car breaks down and after a tow bill, a hotel room, and car repair I had to borrow $825 so I'm pretty much s.o.l. on funds for a while but will definitely keep that in mind once things start looking up again

That's fast in my opinion and good accuracy too. Your post reads quite easily too so your writing ability is also good.

I would try content writing if I were you.

An idea would be to sign up on the content sites first and do that for a while - that would get you into the habit of writing to deadlines and also give you valuable feedback.

Writing quickly you would be able to churn out articles rapidly - which would give a reasonable income too.

Once you have done that for a while, start writing your own content for your own sites as well.

Sounds good, bad luck but at least you had a good holiday (I assume!).

I look forward to seeing your username on the blue side...

You may even make enough to come to the BHW Conference heheh.

Wasn't too bad if that didn't happen lol

Maybe I'll get to go sometime. I haven't been to any conferences in my years. I don't have any friends that are interested in the same things I am haha so if I have to ride solo I just stay home. I bet lots of fun and interesting people attend those conferences tho :) Could use a few good contacts my phone's empty!

I work this consumer research groups. I type everything said by the customers during the meeting (about 10 people on the room). I'm paid 30€/hour, which I think isn't enough. It can sounds easy, but you have to be always focus.
These are 2 to 4 hours meetings, and someday I have several.

Just to give you an idea, I type at around 100 WPM (in French), so I think you would probably do that too. You can do some mistakes, everything don't have to be perfect. Meetings are recorded if you miss some parts.

Well, that's just an idea but you could look at this.

Thanks for all the positive feedback so far. What about data entry jobs? How to find them? I keep searching and it keeps finding scam after scam from ads on classified sites.. I feel like that's something I might actually like and possibly enjoy for the time being. I don't care if its online or offline and I only need to make a minimum of $25 to $30 a day but the more the better

Content writing. The money is there my friend, although it can be a bit mind-numbing at times...

Like Mr. Apricot said, bust out that $130 and start a BST!

I agree with the content writing. The membership for Jr. VIP shouldn't really be a problem as it will pay for itself in just a week or two.

However, if you don't have the money to spend on the membership right now I would recommend starting on the content sites such as iWriter and HireWriters. There are other sites as well such as oDesk which are much better but these require the client to actually accept you for the job. With iWriter and HireWriters you can pretty much accept whatever you want so it's much easier if you are trying to build a reputation.

Once you get your payout from the freelance sites invest in the membership and Jr. VIP and you'll benefit from a better pay and better clients :)

edit: feel free to send me over a PM if you need help getting started, I'd be happy to help.

You can also try medical transcription jobs. There are also transcription jobs in the entertainment industry and many others but finding them will take some work. You can either advertise your skills for example on CL or in your local papers.

I have a friend that used to be a medical transcriptionist and she made pretty good money. She found her first client by calling medical centers and got referrals from her clients. It got to a point where she couldn't take on anymore clients, her basket was full.

I'm sure you'll find something, just have to look hard and keep at it.
