My idea is similar to the ppi thing on the torrents section, basically what i want to do is to sign up for a popup affiliate, and upload a bunch of torrents, and whenever someone opens the torrent they download it sends them one popup from my popup affiliate. Is this possible ? legal ? how can it be done ? Thanks for reading.

You can make a simple exe that will open the default browser with your site and thus open the popup; but your torrents will probably get flagged and deleted quite fast. But still, by all means, go ahead and try. It should be as simple as running a system() on C/C++.

Ye but i will still be offering the installation file of course i guess that will prolong the uptime of the forum long enough for other people to share..

I'd say this wouldn't work out too well because the person probably has Pop-up blockers!!..

Every time i've tried pop up marketing, i got shat on!!..

just my 2cents

it works. i did it in the past when ppi through torrents was a lot easier then it is now. its getting increasingly difficult to upload torrents on high traffic places like mininova and TPB though, so make sure you have some private proxies.

Surprise that torrent method still works...but it is not easy i guess...i rather go for PPC.

But most of the pop up blockers are implemented in the browser the aim is to open the browser from the pc on a specific site. If you got adware once youd see that your browser cannot stop those popups coming up even if its closed and not beeing used.
