Hey all.I am new here.Been reading about pay per downloads for the last several days and have decided to give it a try.Like I said,I am new to all of this,so I plan on doing ppd,and than probably moving on to content locker with CPA,once I get my feet wet.
So,here is what worries me.I see that Filebucks mentions it will work with a public torrent sites..OK.No problem.
I,have much more experience uploading to private torrent sites.I have read over the rules of one of them that I plan on using, and saw no mention of passwords.
Do private torrent sites frown on those that upload torrents that were created with ppd tactics?
Say,someone decides to grab one of my torrents, and than they see that they have to click on link to get password..or complete survey. If they piss and moan and decide NOT to continue..oh well. But if they complain to who ever runs the torrent site, can I get banned?
I have a lot of files on hand that I can upload to certain torrent sites but don;t want to get banned from any of them, since I frequently download from them too.
I also plan on uploading a load of files and placing the links on certain file sharing forums,as well as on my blog(s)
I have a File Factory premium account but have never used it to upload anything.I contacted them several days a go,asking if they have a pay per download program, and have not heard back from them.
Sorry if I rambled on and on.

Well,I'll go ahead with Filebucks.I think you can use it with your file host of choice(mine being File Factory).
I'll upload some files, add links to forums and do at least 1 torrent and see if I get any flack.

I used to get my downloads from RS like crazy. I LOVED RS. Now, torrents are better. :)

Thanks for the Throwback Thursday, though.

    'Days of RapidShare'.
If I asked my friend if he remembers RapidShare, we'd get a kick out of it.

I worked for a company who used RS for pirated apps. D: It was a PC Repair Company. Then, my friend worked for him too (both of my friends lol), and gave me his RS. I saved that, memorized it, and swore by it. Now RS links suck - it's better to just find it elsewhere. I'm glad I never paid for it.

    Those were the days.

I just found out that Filebucks only allows files that are images or documents.
That does me absolutely no good,as all of the files I want to upload are video or audio.

Hey,I just read another thread which says," You can upload passworded big files on sites such as zippyshare and mediafire and put a notice in the archive about the location of the archive's password. You can upload a txt file containing a password on any PPD site, promote your product for as long as you can and wait until download starts to flow"

I'm going to try that...but,I have never created a rar file or zip file or whatever its called.Never made a txt file,either.Archive....?What exactly does that mean?
I will be using Filefactory. And for uploading to torrent sites,I plan on using a seedbox.

If someone could point me in the right direction..maybe there's a tutorial here somewhere..I'd appreciate it.

you can absolutely get banned from private trackers for pulling shit like that, on the other hand you can get banned from public trackers too, it's not the wild west anymore, you can't just upload anything you want, most public trackers nowadays filter your content, if you upload anything suspicious - .rar along w/ .txt - it will throw up red flags and it will get deleted eventually sooner than you'd expect

I did the same thing but got my account deleted. Torrent site don't want any password protected files.

I doubt the people clicking on those will even be that motivated to actually report the files you uploaded. If they were too lazy to do the offers, then why would they go to the lengths to report it? Also I doubt one or two reports would do anything anyways.

and what do you think how hard is to filter compressed files especially when they come with a txt? it throws up red flags right away, you won't even notice it, your torrent gets deleted and you get banned, there's no need for anybody to report you

If you were going to make any real money in ppd with torrents, you would need lots of downloads. Thus the likely chance the torrent will be flagged etc. Seems to me ppd is dead, via torrents atleast. I tired these methods as well as some yuotube videos linked to downloads and quickly moved on to other ventures.

It may just be me, but seems there is bigger money to make elsewhere. Even PPC clickbank with little research and testing produced much better results. Torrent/ppd may work if you twist it right or find some secret method, but seems mostly dead a la 2011.

I wouldn't want that either. I dont even like rar'ed files, no matter what size it is. So why to use a password?
