Hi giys i am in abit of a jamp here and i need for some help. So i had some pbns i had bought couple of years back and transferred them to my godaddy account .A week ago i receive an email for copyright trademark from godaddy that my account is suspended because of one of the sites. So all my websites are down. I wrote them about that but (all i got was after investigations they have decided not to reinstate my suspended account and they will not.

After 3 days i wrote them about transfering the other domains to a different domain registrar for the other domains that where not affected but i git same reply as before.

what can i do to get my other domains to a new registrar since Godaddy won't reinstate my account to transfer the domains. What do i do please

Were you also using fake details for identity and verification?

If the details used to register the domains on the domain holder's account is your own, then:

- GoDaddy needs to specify a reason to deny a transfer request according to icann: https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/name-holder-faqs-2017-10-10-en
- The registrar must deny a transfer request if:
  • Domain name is the subject of a UDRP proceeding
  • Domain name is subject to a court order by a court of competent jurisdiction
  • Domain name is the subject of a TDRP proceeding
  • Domain name is the subject of a URS proceeding or URS suspension
  • Domain name is subject to 60-Day Change of Registrant lock
If any of these are not the case, you should press them about the other domains. The other domains are within your rights to transfer as I'm reading. Unless someone else has other information that I may have missed. If so, I'd like to read it to understand more.

Also, GoDaddy's copyright/trademark infringement page: https://www.godaddy.com/legal/agreements/trademark-copyright-infringement

There is a story on the net, about a well known one word dot com investor that had all his valuable names held hostage and these jerks would not allow him to transfer them out for quite some time due to a foreign bad actor making claims against him on I believe one of the domains. If you want to learn more about it, search the internet as their are articles about this situation approximately last couple of years. So they held them all and froze the account. These were dictionary words, no reason to be held. Sometimes there is no due process and this is why this company can be the incorrect choice for a registrar, or as a host. He eventually was able to transfer them out, but not without major hassle. It's like dealing with Gxxgle or any other behemoth corporation. I have other stories too about them, which is off topic but similar situations where websites were taken down without any appeal or notice. Bad choice imo for host or registrar.

Check Wipo or UDRP search to see if your names were filed against. Hopefully you did not register trademark infringing domains.

Ask them why your request for transfer is being denied. If they cnay give a reason as mentioned above by @PHPInjected, file a formal complaint at icann.

GoDaddy is a bitch. I have heard them doing this a lot.

Or, if it feels like too much effort for you. Just wait till your domain has expired and set a dropcatch. Unless they are very valuable domain, you will have a really good chance of getting it through the dropcatch.

Depends. If it first doesn't go to their own auctions or get snapped up by someone else as a close out and last minute bargain.

This is Godaddy we're talking about here. They will auction the domains off long before allowing them to drop.

OP: next time do not transfer anything into Godaddy. The only time I ever have anything to do with them is if I want a domain in one of their auctions. Otherwise I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.

This just happened to me as well. GoDaddy suspended my domain which has been online for 13 years. It's my primary revenue source. No reason or explanation why it was suspended. They just took the domain from my account, never gave any explanation why, godaddy phone support said you need to email a department never replied back.

In short what I did to fix the issue is I got lawyers involved, sent a notice of intent to file a dispute in arbitration and within 5 days they fixed the issue, restored access to the site.

Long story short, never use GoDaddy.
