I use Enom for the domains I keep and go daddy for those I flip. Namecheap is essentially an enom reseller.

Check out Namesilo. I like them because they offer free life-time WHOIS privacy. Their prices are affordable too (but its hard to find good coupons to use with them). They also just offer basic domain registration, without trying to sell you lots of extra services. Godaddy on the other hand keep upselling all kinds of additional stuff.

I switched from GoDaddy to Namecheap last year and it was the best decision I've ever made.

.com domains with privacy protection cost something ridiculous like $36 at GoDaddy and $10 at Namecheap (even cheaper with the coupons they provide monthly).
