I bought a few domains there before, never hosting, nothing recurring. I disabled every domain for auto-renewal and I just looked at my transactions on my credit card. I was charged $15,17 for some reason. I Googled some and found that many people are having the same problem. I got this in my transaction:

    DNH*GODADDY.COM 480-5058855

Anything I can do regarding that, anyone been trough the same?

Trying, chat is offline, I can only call.

Don't know what for. I didn't get an email. I only saw the charge on my credit card.

$15.17 is the renewal price for a .com domain for a year with no coupons, if I'm not mistaken. Check all your domains and make sure that everything is off. GoDaddy is shady.

I don't have domains with them for quite some time now. I checked domains, none of them expired on the date of the charge. I checked renewal history, nothing there as well.

Trying to get in touch with GoDaddy first. If they don't explain and give me my money back, I'll go to the bank.

Really no need to post here. As @Sherbert Hoover said, it's most likely a domain autorenewed. You can go to your account and see your billing history and even reverse the charge from there. Can't say I haven't had to do that before. If it's something else, calling should get it sorted out in about 8 minutes.

Like I said before, I didn't do business with them for a long time. None of the domains that I had with them expires on the date when they charged me. I Googled and many people are facing this issue that's why I posted here to see if anyone had this problem to share their experience and possible solution. I will get in touch with them, just looking if anyone has been trough this.

It's probably a renewal charge for an old service you bought.

Straight up or it might be a glitch in their system that "accidentally" charged him, just call their customer service and get it straighten out or issue a charge back though you card, no real need to create a whole tread about it.

Just call them and they'll tell you what it was for and refund you if required. They're surprisingly professional when it comes to payments.

give them a call using skype, I had this problem once in which I bought a full year's hosting with a free domain but instead only got the domain, called them up and they resolved the issue in like 30 minutes on top of adding the hosting for one year they also added $15 credit onto the account for free

I'd never heard anyone put professional and Godaddy in the same sentence before.

What's with all "no need to make a new thread about it"?

This is a forum where we post tutorials, questions, comments, problems, warn users about shady stuff... is it not? I just thought that someone will probably say that they been in the same situation to see how that worked out and I made it to also warn people that they are doing some shady shit, as for usual for GoDaddy. There are lots of threads about cryptocurrency - every thread is the same shit, lots of "SEO IS DEAD!!!!!!!!!" - same shit and I can't post a thread to maybe warn some users to check their credit card transactions if they are doing business with them?

Chat told me that I need to call them. They don't have a number to call in my country and I call them in the States. I ended up buying $5 Skype credit, gave them a call and they said that someone else used my card to buy a domain. Don't know how the fuck that happened since I don't share my credit card online. Anyway, got it resolved. Now just gotta go to the bank and cancel this credit card before anyone else buys anything with it.

They have custom hours when their chat is online. Probably during USA working hours.
