I know there are plenty of domain registrars out there but for some reason i still use godaddy, today i bought a domain and throughout the whole process i was hounded to buy all kinds of shite that I dont want/need. lets see what they offered:

    1. about 1000 variations of my domain with random words that no man in their right mind would ever want to buy. .net's. .biz's, .mobi's, .this .fuckthingthat etc etc

    2. ok we've got past the first page.. and i notice that godaddy assume i want this domain for 5 years, 5 fucking years! and also smartspace, i dont want fucking smartspace, i dont know what the hell it is but im pretty sure i dont want it.

    3. i finally get to the checkout after being asked if i want to spend lots more money on search engine submissions and MORE matching domains.

    4. finally bought the domain name, log into the control panel to change the nameservers and get asked if i want to pay for more search engines submissions, FUCK OFF!!

If I would have agreed to either that godaddy threw at me my bill for that 1 domain would have been $xxx anybody else notice that godaddy are just 1 big advertisement to get you to buy all kinds of useless shite that no man or woman could ever possibly need?

    Ok, rant over :blah:

That is exactly why I use Name.com

    1. Choose your domain

    2. Pay

    3. Relax

It's really that simple, I suggest you transfer your domains to Name.com

I always use go daddy, the add ons can get annoying but I just skip them all, and the reason I use go daddy is I have my domains with them anyway so why change lol.

You'd be surprised at how many people use all their add-ons! I've used GoDaddy for many, many years, and although all that crap can be a pain, their support is top notch!

I've had a few issues and their phone support really came through for me.

You forgot the hosting offers too:pGodaddy sucks big time. Their only objective is to make you checkout with an $xxx with the domain as the 'bait' for ripping you off. Name.com is much better. I think one of the reasons behind godaddy's success is exploiting noobs with all kinds of shitty offers.

I've also tried name.com's phoe and email support and it's awesome.
