    (This is a rant)

Well after all the talk about Go Daddy I decided to give them a try, you know with all the promotions and sales etc.,etc it's almost impossible to pass up those deals ... (RIGHT!).

I have been a loyal Bluehost customer for some 5 or 6 years now and NOW I know why I didn't venture OUT the circle for so many years.

I finally purchased a discounted .com and like 5 .info domains with hosting from Go Daddy, I have all my work layed out completed and ready to ftp to my newly created domains and begin to make some sales...BUT THEN I get these bullshit messages about accounts are pending??? WTF It says your account is pending setup and will be ready in 24 Hours we will email you when they are ready...

Holey Crap. It's not like I cannot wait the 24 Hours but Im not used too waiting especially since on Bluehost there is no such bullshit. You purchase, You use..no fucking waiting for the accounts or domains to be "SETUP". WTF are they outsourcing the creation of Mysql databases or some shit?

Alot of my work is spontaneous, I react soley off of thought and desire. Not everday I have the time to work on my blogs/domains or it's not everyday I'm in the mood to stare at a CPU screen, especially since I do it all day at work already. When I'm ready to boogie I don't need messages telling me to wait 24 Hours...I think that is a bunch of bullshit. Your supposed to be the Holy Grail of Hosting services and you cannot create hosting accounts on DEMAND?

Go Daddy has a slew of bullshit services that Bluehost doesn't but at the end of the day I just need a domain,cPanel and my fucking account/databases to be created on Demand. Hell I would've paid the normal price just to have my shit when I purchased it like on Bluehost.

I ran into another issue and called customer service to witness what that would be about because I was in disbelief about the errors I was recieving after I un-associated a domain with a hosting account and the customer service rep said that if I'm recieving the error that means I'm doing it the right way?!? Huh? What kind of shit is that? Then he said I had to WAIT another 30 minutes for the process to complete...I was speechless. I don't care if they have .50 cent .coms I'm not renewing any of my domains with that snail of a service, they are focusing their efforts on all the wrong stuff instead of the main purpose..Hosting of Fucking Domains. This is 2009 not 1999 they need to get with the program. I couldn't fathom doing any kind of webmastery fucking with a service that wants you to wait until they catch up..Go to hell Go Daddy.

    DONE.

3 Weeks You kidding me? This is why they have all these "Cheap" deals, because the actual service is a joke. If your a beginner webmaster and have never used another hosting service except for Go Daddy, the next time you want to start a new project, try Bluehost A.K.A Hostmonster you will experience what I'm talking about. Everything is done in REAL time. Go Daddy spend more money on advertising than they do on their actual product. Go figure...

I hear people talking about Go Daddy all the time like their some type of 4 star hosting service, are you people actually doing any kind of work with them? I can't be efficient in what I'm doing if after every process I have to wait 30 Minutes or 24 Hours..Thats so fucking Gay.

I mean it's great if you don't plan on working on your project right this instant, go ahead and purchase with all those discounts and promo's. But if your like me and need services on demand, stay far away from Go Daddy or else you will just get a headache trying to do simple processes.

Think I'm going to be a Host Monster lifer..lol

Yeah I think I'm going to have to use that route, I just don't like having ALL my eggs in one basket that's why I wanted to spread out my domains across several different hosting services..Well I guess I'll have to X out Go Daddy and just use them to purchase domain names and forward them. Notice I didn't say transfer because that takes 60 days to initiate.

Also it's not a good idea to host blackhat/whitehat on the same hosting/I.P. it's not good JuJu and you risk your whitehat sites being banned in the event your Blackhat project goes belly up.

GoDaddy is bs. Half the reps don't know wtf they are talking about and try to act like experts.

ya, the only thing godaddy is good for are cheapo domain names and easily masking and forwarding a domain name.

Just buy a domain name and forward it to an affiliate link or something or change the name servers and host your new domain on someone elses servers.

Never host a site a godaddy.

Amen. Slow to setup, slow to make changes, slow in general. The only time godaddys interface works is when you are buying something. Coencidence?

Funny. I kind of sensed that when I was talking to the rep that I had more experience in what I was talking about than they did and actually had to break it down Barney style so that they could understand just what I was talking about. The last thing I want to do when I call customer service is TRAIN the customer service rep. That alone in itself is enough to keep me away.

    MY LAST GRIPE:

I tried to CHMOD a folder in my WP installation and it keeps reverting back to 777

I'm so done with Go Daddy.

Yeah whata coinqidink. Bastards. I've always felt like I could sniff out BS web services especially after being burnt x amount of times as a noob. I figured I couldn't go wrong with selecting a hosting service especially since Go Daddy was so reputable...The only people that could be possibly happy with Go Daddy is green noobs that procrastinate and enjoy waiting for ever 2 get something done.

It just goes to show the power of marketing. I think they subliminally got a sale from me, from all the marketing that they do and in the end the product is trash...I really didn't expect that poor of a product from a company that spends so much money on marketing...TV commercials, Radio ads, their in heavy rotation, straight promoting trash...
