I current have a godaddy economy hosting plan which I'm running my business web-site from. If I want to buy like 2 more domains but use the same economy plan and host a WP account with a different domain name do I need to upgrade my hosting plan through godaddy?

    Anyone know??

You can host as many websites as you'd like on the economy plan, you wouldn't need to upgrade.

for two more sites. I think you don't need to upgrade the plan yet. As you can see, you have like 10 databases available. are you using WP for your site?

I believe you can add as many domains as they allow you except the databases are limited

If you name the database differently (wp_1, wp_2), you can share the databases. Keep in mind if one goes corrupt, both sites will go poof.

So your saying if I currently have ABC.com I could host SEPARATE domains like :
    ZZZ.com
    or XYZ.com

They wouldn't have to be ABC.com/ZZZ etc etc

I currently use joomla but I think for a niche site I might try out wordpress. That would be great If I could do all this on the economy plan.

    Thanks guys..

I've heard mixed reviews but tend to agree they aren't very good.

There is a way to set it up so you can host multiple domains at GoDaddy on the same plan. I remember it being kind of confusing, but it can be done.

As the people above mentioned, I'd suggest another host. I've had a ton of luck with Bluehost. It's about the same price as Godaddy, but you can have unlimited domains. I've also had much better up time on there for my sites.

You can create sub-domains in your main account, then redirect any domain to its designated sub and mast the URL so it uses the redirected domain name not the one you redirect to. You can then install WP or do anything you want on each sub as they will Independent.

economy will only let you host 1 website, yes you have multiple subdomains and DBs and you can forward all the domains you want. But you need to upgrade to deluxe hosting to host websites on separate domains. Godaddy has told me that the limit is 25 hosted domains with deluxe, but I have read that you can host more and there is no limit. GD also promises page speed increase with deluxe hosting but I don't believe it. Ive tested the same sites on economy and deluxe accounts and the difference was very slim. Even on wp sites.

With these, you don't even have to start on their email hosting.
    Use hostgator.

Yes, I think that you have o upgrade your plan. According to point of view you have to use other domains instead of same.

I wouldn't use GoDaddy for hosting if I were you, especially for a chain of business websites. Move your hosting to HostGator or somewhere more reliable than GoDaddy. As for your question, it can be done with redirecting the URL I suppose.
