Gmail Phone verification now in the UK

    Heard about this happening in Germany a while ago if i remember right (?). Im from the UK and tried to make a couple of Gmail accounts today and i had to use my mobile to verify - there was no alternative, i clicked the "i dont have a mobile phone" link and they said i should borrow a friends mobile... lol, thanks for the advice google :rolleyes:

    anyone else having to put up with this shit in any other countrys? are the Americans still getting away with it? ... if so for how long? :eek:

    na, i cant renew my ip more than 2 times a day really without losing hours of service (shit isp) but am gonna try all that tomorrow.. i hope im wrong and they aint started all that PVA crap. I picked up a load of free simcards from the supermarket today tho.. just incase :D

    Seems IP is the issue. Clear Cookies and try to create a new account using proxy. Hope this helps.

    clean your browsing data, and try using proxies if you can, if not, use other email services ...

    If Google starts verifications like CL, some services related to IM will be harder next years with other companies ... but here in BHW we'll find solutions for that.

    I created around 7 or 8 Gmails today and wasn't asked for phone verification. Then again I'm not from the UK, and I didn't use proxy; all created from the same IP.
