So I was putting a piece of furniture together, and to my surprise it came with glue for wood.

The edges of the drawers are sort of flexible/foldable, and you use the glue to stick them straight.

So I use the glue for wood that came with the package. I put on the glue, and I push the wood to close nicely the two pieces on top of each other, and the glue just comes out everywhere. I clean up the excess that came out nicely with a napkin, and I wait a few minutes. Then I give it the gentlest push, just to make sure it's glued, or at least getting there. Nothing! Nothing, as if I didn't even put any glue in there.

So I figure maybe too much came out when I closed the pieces on top of each other, so I put some more glue, but less this time, more evenly. I close the wood again slowly and carefully, glue comes out everywhere, I clean with a napkin, I hold and hold and hold. I do the gentle push to see if we have any stickiness. NOTHING! WHAT THE FUCK?!?!

So I got some glue I bought to stick a piece of stainlesteel metal (not a large surface) to a bathroom tile. It's the type of glue that you can stick 2 planets together and they will never move. You know, the Good shit. The heavyweight shit. I use it on the thing I'm putting together, I wait a few minutes, stuck perfectly.

So... I would just like to say that glue for wood, or wood glue, whatever you wanna call it, doesn't work, it's FAKE NEWS!!!

Glue and wood don't mix, American pie 2 teaches that

What I learned today is that glue and wood can in fact mix, just not glue made to stick wood. You get that universal extra strong 10,000 horsepower jet fuel powered glue that will stick anything anywhere in 5 seconds flat... and mix away homie :p

So I can sell it on Clickbank right o_O

Be my guest. Just please make sure to mention me and to send me my 10% from each sale. Thank you.

I remember wood glue from high school lol it was great peeling it dried from your hands later!

Next time I have a girlfriend I'll convince her to put some wood glue on her face, as face mask, leave it overnight.

Anything goes wrong I blame you yeah? Yeeeah :D

You need to use special wood glue, the stuff they give you is always bottom of the barrel stuff. Make sure you also leave it to set at least 8 hours.

Have you seen the movie? You can find a short clip if you Google American pie 2 glue scene

The glue I used sets in like 8 seconds, but I gave it 8 minutes :p

Anyway no pressure on it for about 20 hours at least. Not by choice, I'm just tired and by the time I sleep and wake up and finish putting this monster together and start using it = 20+ hours went by

This.

People even put nails for extra toughness. Wood glue takes time to bond lol.

Nails? I prefer to screw everything
Hmm that should be better actually. Will look more professional.

Edit: on a second read... Fuuuuuu :p

Time is money, life is short, ain't nobody got time for, like, waiting for glue to bond and shit.

Wood working needs patience. You didn't watch NCIS ( not that miami version) did you? Lol.
