Hey guys, I have a few IG accounts that I'm using. One of these accounts just hit 10K (real followers) by using FL the last few months. It's a shout profile I worked really hard on. It's basically really nice photography and it's a specific genre of photography. Anyways, I'm giving this account to my wife since she runs a popular blog and wants to increase her followers.

Do I just change the email over to her along with the new IG name? ALso, what do I do with all the images that I built up over the last few months, do I just delete all of them since it doesn't pertain to her genre in any way? Is there going to be a mass exodus of un-follows after she starts posting her fashion pictures and people commenting "WTF? Who are you and why am I following you?"

Never did a transfer so was wondering some of your thoughts. Thanks

My suggestion is your wife can post fashion picture and photography picture both for now. After few week , she can only post fashion pictures. No need to Remove all picture at once. It will not good for your account

You shouldn't give up your page. If those are real, active and photography lover followers, then it is the best to keep them entertained and grow your audience. They would unfollow asap after a change in my opinion.
I think it would be better for your wife to start a new IG page for her blog, that way her audience would be much more active.

you will see a huge drop in followers when you switch, you can do as posted above and kinda transition slowly into it or just start a new acc and do subtle shoutouts to it from your other accs.

You can for example link to her in your photos description and she should grow a bit

Don't change ur niche up if u built followers naturally. That will be a waste of hard work because they will unfollow when they notice its not the same type of content they followed u for.

If it's your "wife", you don't need to change the email or any other account info. Simply provide her with the login to the account and let her use it. However, my suggestion would be to start a "new" account in her niche/genre and us FL to build up a targeted follower base for her account as changing the account niche so rapidly can/will result in a drop in both followers and engagement.
