A guy doing some work for me (not very much) was saying he can go in and put a script I bought from him on my website and he'll set it up.

Is it standard for people to give out their host account info (localhost, username, password) to people?

I host alot of websites on there....

Well depending on how legit you think he is you can provide him that information.

Most of the time there really inst much you can do in terms of editing files or changing things around on the file system without that info.

I have contractors work on my stuff regularly that have that information.

its all a matter of trust, how much do you trust this person?

I don't know this guy well, we've chatted he seems legit. Pretty cool but how many people trust people before they do a bad thing? I'm concerned he might put something on there.
