    Hola,

It's 12:23 AM right now and I'm exhausted, but I want to give something back so here it goes.

Disclaimer: Don't go overboard and spam the crap out of these services because you could get in trouble, and if you do get in trouble.... well... I don't really care.

Method one: Cheap phone numbers = Cheap PVAs...
(Haven't personally tested this one, but there shouldn't be a reason why this wouldn't work)
1- Go to www.twilio.com <- This is not my site (I wish it was)
2- Create an account you'll get $30 credit. You can't use that credit to purchase numbers unless you load the account with some of your money.
3- Load it up with some cash
4- Use the money you loaded with the $30 credit to create phone numbers

Note: You can create a local phone number in the US with any local identifier (first three digits ###-###-####) for $1/month. You pay 1 cent/minute for inbound calls, 2 cents for out bound, and 2 cents/SMS sent or received. I believe you can also redirect numbers.

Method two: Free phone numbers for people who have iPod touch/iPhones/iPads.
    1- Download the textfree app.
    2- create a phone number.
3- send/receive calls and sms with the $10 credit you get.
4- log out if you can't --> delete the app and reinstall it. create another number.

Even though we're allowed to pick the area code? What is it in the number that lets craigslist know that it's a voip number?

But if you really want to know how to make pva's using twilio for CL, it's pretty expensive. You have to get a prepaid phone, set it up and then spend $30 bucks to port the number to twilio (which can take two weeks) and then use it for pretty much forever. I don't use craigslist (except for selling personal items and stuff bought in bulk) but that's way too much work! I'd just rather buy a prepaid phone and keep refilling it.

First off, I do realize this thread is a year old.

It's rather obvious you haven't tested this. Since late 2009, voip numbers haven't worked 98% of the time.

It helps to know what you're talking about before giving people advice
