I was curious to know where a trickle of traffic and adsense clicks where coming from so I installed analytics and was sort of surprised. Analytics is reporting 20 visits a day of a term that I look at on Google and I don't see my site anywhere literally. But yet my referral traffic is coming from google search. It makes no sense.

Different people get different result on Google depending on lcation, settings and other factors. Have you tried searching google with a different browser after deleting flash cookies?

It could be also traffic from Google image search. Check if your images are listed in the image search with your keyword.

I think this could be a search engine spider.
I see a lot of stats like this, they come and go real quick...and you aren't ranking for it.
Most likely a spider or some sort of bot.

I think its coming from image search! You can put statcounter on your site, you can see if its from image search or web search.
