So no sooner did I finish upgrading all 50+ of my sites to 3.03 than they come out with 3.04.

Logging into each build and upgrading is frankly annoying..

Is there an easier way to go about this.. I'll consider anything.

Looks pretty good, but I am concerned about giving my login info to some 3rd party site, has anyone used this before? Is it secure? Don't want to wake up next day and see all my passwords changed
    EDIT:

User guide page says "Downlad and activate the ManageWP Worker plugin to your blog(s)"

If they can't even proof-read their site they I don't think they are very professional, I'll pass on this one

Yes that also concerns me.. I also just read that you have to upload and activate their plugin to all the sites you wish to manage.. I think I want some info about the service from another member before I go through all that

I have asked the wprobot owner to incude upgrading wp blogs in his control center, he said he will be including it soon, so just wait until he does, much better option

I love the idea but I'll wait for the self hosted version. Don't like the idea of someone else storing my admin user ID's and passwords.

At least if it's self hosted I can check out the code for trojans / emailers and it'll no doubt come under peer review so any security issues can be resolved.

A safe and working solution: Create an iMacros script to login to all your sites automatically and do the auto-upgrade. You can let it do plugin updates as well.

so I can't even upgrade with it yet? Which was the whole reason for my post?

Imacros keeps being suggested to me for different things I want to do. I should learn it.

Too bad there is no bot that just does this.

I might have a crack at a ubot bot to see if I can do this - I have just got a copy of Ubot so still feeling my way round it.

Hopefully this won't be too tough.....I can test it on my single WP install, so I am way behind you guys with 50+ blogs!!

Fatboy if you could put something out to help us I would greatly appreciate it for sure.. I mean HJ appreciate level..

    Kidding..

Seriously though I was thinking Ubot might be the way to go..there is a guy in the sales thread cleaning up making Ubot Bots.. I just posted in his thread asking if he could do it..If you do it can you have it automatically upgrade Akismet and delete hello Dolly? I think it would be optional to update the rest of the plugins though..

Ah if there is someone already on it I will wait to see what they come up with then :)

Saying that, may be something for me to learn Ubot with - is it PatMiller (think thats his username here) selling the bots? If it is, he knows his stuff!!

Well.. I posted in his thread that it should be made but I have not really hired him at all or anyone else.. this would be an easy bot to sell if someone made it.

Ya Pat Miller.. all his customers seem to be happy ya..

In regards to managewp.com, I can't go as far as personally vouching for the guy, but Vladimir Prevolac has been around and contributing plugins for wordpress since the first time I installed it years ago. I have used pretty much every one he has written and have never had a problem. I am going to give it a roll on some domains that I have purchased recently and need some easy admin on. I do agree that a self-hosted version would be awesome though, I don't like using any services for my sites.

Keep us informed if any finds a solution or creates an "iMacros" script that can be easily edited to add.
    Domain
    username
    and password

or calls a file with all the domains and login details would be better.
