There is no limit to how many pages Google is capable of indexing from one site!

Submit sitemap of the website in Google may help to index all the inner pages asap. Or else you can use public websites to populate your main pages may help to index your subpages if you interlink them with each other.

Thousands of pages is quite lot if you add them in the short period of time. You can request indexing through the console, do proper internal linking and send some links to those pages. If the translated article don't pass the manual review, it won't index. Rewrite them and request indexing.

As others have written, a sitemap is the best way to do this with Google. You can also share all of the pages across major social media sites like reddit, Twitter, Facebook, to get Google to crawl them. Of course with thousands of pages, you will want to set this up to automatically share the pages so you don't have to do it manually.

Try submitting a sitemap and analyze is it helpful. Also, use social media to share your site it might get some attention for indexing.
