So I have a social media marketing site that I started in Feb 2012, SocialBuilders do t n et, minus the spaces, it has done fairly well on autopilot with gross revenue as high as $12k , with a profit of $9500, in July 2012, but I have not done any SEO work or hardly tried to generate biz and the sales are down to about $5k with a profit of $4k for Oct. I simply do not have time for this site and to optimize the traffic that it gets, as well as bring organic traffic to it. I have about 20 affiliates promoting the site and I have not even used Adsense or any CPA offers at all. Below are the Stats Crop details. Let me know what you guys think its worth before I go to Flippa. THX as always guys!

    Site Title: Social Builders
    Web Age: 8 months
    Alexa Rank: #281,931
    Pagerank: PR3
    SEO Score: 64.9%
    Daily Visitors: 1092
    Daily Pageviews: 1966
    Daily Bandwidth: 1.03 GB (32.02 GB/month)

From a noob on Flippa probably $150-200. From someone that can do a bit of due diligence less than that. Good luck.

The percentage of site visits from search engines.

    Last 30 days 3.8%
    Last 7 days 7.1%
Only backlinks are from web analytic scraps so PR isn't going to stay after next update.

    https://www.majesticseo.com/reports...s.net?oq=socialbuilders.net&IndexDataSource=F

Nothing in archive.org and SEMrush says this site ranks for 1 keyword that gets zero searches a month.

You better dump it before the next PR update. Good luck

HAHA!! Wow you are out of your f***ing mind. This is a business that has a proven track record with consistent profits. THX for showing how dumb some people can be. Even as a "POWER MEMBER" LOL. As I said I have done no SEO whatsoever. Guess you missed that

I don't think anyone can properly analyze the traffic. I would pay a lot more for it if the traffic was organic.

Because the fact that a lot of the traffic is driven by affiliates I wouldn't pay as much..reason being there is nothing stopping those affiliates from jumping ship to your next project. I'd have the same problem if the traffic was primarily forum driven.

I can prove all profits and traffic. The traffic is driven by very large Twitter accounts that would be sold with the business.

meathead would probably be the best person to speak to about this. You might want to plow some of the profits into doing SEO and diversifying traffic so that you can sell for earnings multiple that is higher due to growth or even just a higher price in general.

Since it is a profitable site, why don't you just let somebody run it for you, at a cut of the profit?

To be honest, I want out of a partnership that involves this site. I just want to sell it for what its worth and move on to the next thing on my own.

Just curious. How do you keep track of affiliates and which affiliate generates which sale?

I use Post Affiliate Pro to track my affiliate sales. But honestly the affiliates only account for about 5% of the sales. Most of the sales come from Twitter profiles that would be sold with business.

I have a very close friend that I outsource to. That relationship will be passed along to the new owner as well.

The site might be profitable, but if you're looking to sell and have an attitude like that, you're going to have a real tough time finding a decent buyer.

I respect you, but to tell me that a business that has made over $30 k in profit in just 7 months is only worth $150-$200 is quite laughable, and if you know your way around businesses you would agree. I may be new to this forum and SEO, but I am no virgin when it comes to flipping businesses for profit. So my attitude with that guy will have nothing to do with the potential sale of my business. My frustration comes from every guy who disrespects supposed NOOBS on this forum just cause they have low post counts or haven't been thanked enough.

I am not disagreeing with your point of view, just the way you reacted.

When selling sites in the five figure range, you'll have to get used to questions like that. If you have a good explanation for it, then that's fine, but going off on one and telling the potential buyer they are an idiot probably isn't going to get you very far :)

Understood and thank you. Now can I ask you what steps you think I should take to improve SEO and make this site prove more valuable to more buyers?? I know I can read up on it but from a flipper's perspective what would be my best bang for my buck to move this thing up a little?

I can't see the revenue you got as you said !! cause this site of your doesn't have emd domains from where the visitors may come from ..also as you said you didn't done any seo or promotional things so theres no way you can get that much visitor and if the visitor you said are false then the revenue is also false...you can't get that.. so don't do anything fraud you will get caught...
