**How I Make $1000+/Mo With Xbox Live**

Here's a little money maker that even I consider to be nothing great, but it does bring in an easy(when I say easy, I mean muthafu***** easy:D) cashflow per month. The amount will vary on how often you use this, but I average at least an extra $1,000+ per month.

Now you may think that's not a lot, but I do absolutely NO work, and still get paid. So how is this possible? By playing video games online:D

I'm not talking about becoming a BETA tester like the show in those Clickbank ebooks(that's what I sell mostly), I'm talking about actually playing games and making money from Clickbank. Here's a breakdown:

    1. Register a domain. Make sure that it is both catchy and tells people something about making money playing video games or at least something that will peak the video gaming audience's interest. This may take some brainstorming, but once you got a good one, it will be worth it. A good tip is to search around on Google ans see what other people are using as their domains. This will help you with ideas.

You can monetize by either redirecting your domain directly to your chosen offer, or you can setup a mini-site with product reviews, etc. Both work, just test it out.

Another quick note is you don't need to have a .com for this. I use .info's and they work fine for me.

    2. You will need an Xbox 360 with XBox Live. I'm sure this will work on any other gaming console that supports online gaming like PS3 etc. I just happen to use this method on Xbox Live only so far and it works for me. Plus I love Halo:D

XBox Live links up to your Windows Live/Hotmail credentials, so make sure you fill that all out before signing up t o XBox Live. Stuff your domain that you registered anywhere you can in your profile, but don't overdo it. You want to make sure you aren't hard-selling anything. Again, make it appealing.

    3. Setup you XBox Live profile. XBox Live is pretty much like using any social networking platform or forum etc. They have all the necessary stuff like a Bio area, motto(like a forum sig), etc etc. If you can market on social networking sites, you can take what you know and apply it to XBox Live.

I make my gamertag(username)the domain name I registered. So if my domain is "www.gettingpaidtoplayHalo.info" then that's my username. This is just an example. You will need to find a balance between catchiness(to get people to actually search your domain) and length. This another reason why I recommend using cheap .info's because it may take a few tests.

I make my motto(signature) something that gets other players wanting to check out my site. Just treat it as you would a forum sig or a FB bi etc...

Just like your Windows Live ID, put in your domain whenever possible, but make sure to avoid being "spammy".

    4. Start Gaming! Really. If you setup your information correctly, people will actually come to your site. Now you won't get everyone to buy(which is not my concern by the way), but you should make some really nice pocket change. The best thing is you are doing absolutely NO WORK. I play video games to take a rest from my business, yet I still get paid. Can't beat that in my opinion.

    Quick Notes:

    - Remember that XBox Live is basically a social networking platform for gamers, and it will continue to become more and more like one. They are launching FaceBook and other social networking apps for it, so keep that in mind as you market there.

    - XBox Live links with your Windows Live ID, so that is another opportunity. people will actually go and check out your info there. Keep this in mind as well.

    - You have a microphone when you play online....use it. Interact with people. This just gets more eyes on you which is what you want.

    - The more you play(don't forget to actually work on your real business!) the more people will go to your site. An added bonus is if you are good at games, naturally you will build a following which in turn can lead to more money for you.

    - There are tons of games that support XBox Live, so there are endless opportunities.

    Happy gaming guys $$

    Yukinari

P.S. If I see this on DP, WF, or anywhere else, then I will have the mods delete this thread.
I share this kind of stuff only for my friends here at BHW, so let's keep it that
    way.

This is actually a good idea, I've thought of using domains as my name when I hit the high score or something, but using it as your gamertag, nice idea man. Thanks for sharing!

    Good point.

If you hit a high score, you can input a name.
Use your domain anywhere you can.

Novel concept... I'm not a gamer, but seems like it certainly could work.. and especially so if you are (gently) using CS

heh, Interesting idea. Until now I thought that the only way to earn by playing games is to take part in some championships/contests like WCG. Now there's also a blackhat way to do it :)

Great idea! I don't have time to do this myself, but I bet I can outsource it.

I think co.cc and co.nr are also applicable as alternatives for this one? :)

Indeed this does work, you can also play multiplayer games and sometimes just mention that you are getting paid to play online. People will generally ask you how and just point them to your domain. You don't need an xbox to do this. This can work just as well with pc games as well.

A thing i would definitely sell or advertise is a website that sell Xbox live monthly subscription cards. I mean if the guys you are playing with enjoy xbox Live , I'd think they would want to renew their time afterwards.

You can get some of those in wholesale forums most likely.

Profit margin might be a bit of a hassle so if you want , just stick to promoting affiliate websites.

No idea how well it works, but figured it couldn't hurt.

I think he means couldn't hurt as in "give a shot" type of way.

XBox Live doesn't pass on link juice I think. Not sure, but I doubt it.

Yes. Good point. There is endless possibilities to this method.

Tons of games, tons of platforms...you get the picture.

Besides, you will make money without even really caring about it.

Like I said, I don't even really take this method seriously and I pull in at least $1K a month from it.

I just like to know I'm making money even when I'm taking a break.:D

Now the real question - how many hours do you play daily?

    ;)

Some days more; some days less.

Nice share Yukinari. I hung up my gaming addiction when I got into IM, but now you've got me thinking about the possibilities. What better way to take a break from the daily grind than making some side income by blowing shit up ;)

I think I'll go pick up an X box.

    Cheers,

    Red

    Couldn't have said it better.

Blowing shit up is always fun and a good stress reliever for me. There's also a lot of really weird people that play online like in Halo etc.

You can get a good laugh, too.

This is a very creative method. Just in time for Modern Warfare 2. I have a friend who plays like 8+ hours a day. I think I'll ask him to play under my gamertag with the domain. Just pay em like 25% and say its 50% hah.
