Your most effective way of Getting NEW web/seo clients is via Paid Advertising or SPAM?
I recently experimented with this very thing and here is what I did and what I found.
I created a very targeted mailing list of 400 leads. I created a beautiful email and a very compelling pitch that was highly tuned to the very targeted list. The goal of the email is to get them to watch a video about the service.
It took me 2 days to gather the list.
It took me 2 days to craft the HTML email and write and rewrite the copy.
Had to wait and emailed it out early Monday morning.
60% Open rate (woohoo! awesome for very cold leads. speaks to the advantages of targeting and a quality email)
10 Unsubscribes (1 overtly pissed off)
6 Video Views
It cost me less than $2 to get the same outcome promoting the video on facebook in less than 1/10th the time and effort... and nobody offended.
I'll let you decide which one I think is better.
I once was giving away websites with a method learned here on bhw what my process was to contact business owners using sms, i scrapped and then sent blindly to people and well the response was good and some bad , im a spamming guy myself so what works works.
Cold calling by far for me, even though I can't stand it.
Nice to outsource it once you start ranking more sites.
