I have been successful in promoting a sports website and have been raking in some Cash for some time now. Right now I wants to expand myself into all American sports, but I am not familiar with the Culture in US on which sports they like. I know for a fact that they like American football,Baseball&NBA. I read an ebook explaining how you can make some money using NBA Videos. Now I would like to familiarize myself with the American sports culture so that I can squeeze out some money from some fan following for a particular sports. I have few questions which I would like to ask.
Which are the sports (preferably outdoor) which American likes to watch on big screen. I checked the NBA Schedule and found out that there are no games played out there right now. So is NFL being played now or Baseball?
Also can someone help me familiarize myself with the most watched, loved&followed Sports in the US.
Currently what is the sports which is being watched on TV and talked about in the US?Care for someone to help me with this?

Baseball, basketball, and NFL are the big sports. Baseball is currently being played for the next few months. NFL starts in about a month (the pre-season kicks off this weekend).

I'll send you a pm later.

Baseball is the only real sport currently being played. Its training camp time for nfl teams, so it would be a good time to start to learn about that.

The most popular of those sports is NFL football so you have a few weeks to get your site up and running. The season start in about a month.

College football is also pretty popular and it starts in about a month as well.

Most of the games in both categories are played outside.

NFL, hands down (Sunday & Monday nights are about American football in the US from September to January every year))
i'm an European, but what i see is NFL becoming more and more popular worldwide year by year, not just in the US, it's so popular, that they play now two matches per season in the UK

then maybe NBA and then MLB, but it can be MLB first and just then NBA
and it is a sure thing, that MLB is not so popular overseas but NBA is

and ice hockey is also worth to mention i think

Monday night football is the most watched non playoff sporting event in the USA. The super bowl is the single biggest event on tv.

You def. want to include college football mentions in your site. It's huge and gets bigger each year. Yeah, the NFL is dominant, but by and large, college football fans are much more rabid.

Football and Basketball are the main two.

Both have a respectable following outside of America too!

Here is the order of sports loved by americans

1. American football
2. Nascar (believe it or not, but they have a huge market)
3. Baseball
4. Basketball
5. Ice Hockey
6. "Soccer"
7. Golf
8. UFC

I would say baseball for the outdoors part because it is a summer sports, but if you are talking about which sports they love to watch on a big screen that is being played outdoors, well then its probably either baseball or football, americans will gather and watch on a big screen either at someones home or in a sports bar, they dont really gather together and watch it on a big screen outdoors like say europe or asia even.

and i would say hands down the NBA is the most popular sport in the US on a global level, NFL and NHL do not even come close, just look at the league demographic the nba have far more international players in their league and therefore more international coverage and a bigger international market, baseball would be second, and then i dunno between football and hockey

key parts of american sporting culture includes much-like europe, the rivalrys between teams, I woud say though that these rivalries do not go as deep as some rivalries in lets say soccer in europe, but there are some that are on that level. sports in america can also be very family oriented, in nfl and nba and baseball a lot of ego is involved, and really all in all sports in america is the show of all shows, its a very flashy , heavily marketed industry designed to appeal to younger crowds all the time
