I'm working on a project with a new product. The product is an online software package for business management.
Because of the online only nature of the product, we don't have SKUs or barcodes to upload in a feed to google merchant center.
I have a feeling I am being pretty simplistic, but could I make up my own SKU and upload a feed to get listed? In dealing with other feeds, I've seen that SKUs don't seem to have any particular format or regularity, but I would imagine that items should have their own unique SKU.
Any experience on this one from BHW people?

I understand that part of it. My issue though has to do with the creation of SKUs. Can I just make them up?
