any tricks out there to get google to re-visit a static html page?

is it just a matter of getting enough backlinks so that google goes and sees the new info on the page?

The G spiders visit the hell out of all my pages, sometimes it takes a day or two before you see the update on the SE's. (Meta description etc..)

But to answer your question, yes, building links will get big G to revisit your page.

If you haven't submit your site to digg, that'll help you get visited again.

put a link to it on your home page, that will make G crawl it quicker if you have thousands of pages or if it only accessable from a few places on your site.
