Getting Backlinks VS SERP Help

I have a handwritten adult blog on it's own domain that is fairly new and it started in the top 5 spots very early.

The adult site I'm pushing is around 2 months old and I have 2 sites I'm competing against that are about as old as my site. My site keeps going up and down in SERP and I have realized that the more backlinks I get, the more my site drops.

Now, the 2 other sites I'm competing against never update and they never move. #1 and #2 spots from the begining. what am I doing wrong?

I have heard about the Google dance, but how come I'm the only one dancing?

What I have found to be very important regarding how my sites rank is the content, site age and anchor text links to my site. If your site/s are only two months old, I wouldn't worry. I've found that I've had to wait about 6 months before solid and reliable SERP results are achieved. I can't answer why you are the only one dancing, but I would just focus on adding keyword related content and more links using the keyword and related keywords you want to rank for. I would also do the same for any web 2.0 sites you may have that also pointing to your domain. For me, the number of backlinks isn't important, what is important is the anchor text used and the content on my site which matches/is related to those words. An example, one site I was competing against had 20,000+ links to their domain, my site had 2,000 but I was still able to beat the competing site. Focus on the long term, related content, related anchor text links and you'll be fine. I'd use a timeframe of 6 months to 1 year.

I want to remain on top, got 5 sales this week and barely got 30 hits today
 
anyone else have something to say?

I don't really want to wait 6 months, because the site I want to push is rather new. In 6 months, it won't be as worth it as it is now.
 
The advice is...patience. It looks as though you are targeting a limited shelf life keyword and website. If this is the case, then you would need some advanced SEO/BH strategies to rank quickly and stay there.

Genuine BHatters would rather sell thier mothers jewellery (or indeed their mother) than give up those types of secrets. Adult sites in particular are prone to dancing and (as I am sure you are aware) are notoriously hard to rank consitently for. Just follow Creztor's advice and plan for the longer term for prolonged success (if you keyword allows it....)
