check his domains and his others sales and search for intext:"pdf" or something you might get lucky. Normally they just put it on the normal domain they use.

Usually this kind of thing is done by having 2 people or 2 separate accounts bid on the same item.

    Bidder A bids the minimum
Bidder B way to much, usually around retail.
Auction is no longer attractive to others due to the high price.
Right before auction ends, Bidder B withdraws bid.

If timing is right, Bidder A gets the item dirt cheap.

Do this to much and you are bound to get nailed.

Did you go over to DP to check the offer? It's 1 (one) page. Hope it doesn't take you 2 hours to read just 1 page! :)

This won't work. You can only withdraw bids 12 hours before ending

I had used methods like this in the past, and definitely got my accounts banned.

Perhaps he is using a different method, but the one above as he mentioned is definitely risky.

I tried this once. You would actually need three accounts. Bidder A bids the minimum. Bidder B bids very high.

BUT then the price will just be a little bit higher than A's bid. And anybody can bid between the current price (still very low) and B's high bid and then make the price raise... (unless A raises his bid, but then there is no point doing this!) and when B withdraws his bid, the lucky winner will be the lucky "anybody".

So you would need a third account (C) to make the ACTUAL price raise (not just the maximum bid that nobody can see) so that nobody can outbid it.

Then B and C withdraw bids during the very last minute, and A gets it for nothing.

But like Top25 said, it won't work because you can only withdraw bids 12 hours before ending. Which means the ebook has to be about something else. Or a more elaborate way to do it :).

I used to be an Ebay silver powerseller, so there is not much I didn't do or try to make the best use of it :)

The best way to bid on something is to place your bid when it literally has just a few seconds left on this, if you have a fast internet connection. I've got some unbelievable bargains doing this, and do it about every time I bid on something. It prevents other morons from driving the bid up.

Definitely only way to go - i always use a sniper programme to bid in the final 10 seconds of the auction rather than show my interest earlier to start a bidding war.

Sniping is fine, but theres a rash of newbes on ebay and they jack the price
up high. Some at 50.00 increments at a time. You would think with the economy in the shape its in that ebay would be slowing down, not the case!!
Its a sellers dream for the right products and even stuff i thought would not have sales going high. There was a program i found in here called
ebay bid blocker, what it does is stops others from bidding against you.
Very powerful idea, but i cant get it to work.Going to get with a programer
and see if he can get it going. The problem is i cant find the person who
made this program, its not on dp where it came from and the folks on here
that said they got it working are not sharing the howto.Sorry for
ranting, just real ruff this holiday with money so tight. Thanks for all your input and have a great day.
