As I am just 3 Days Old here in BHW, I like it here so much.

This is my 1st Contribution here in BHW.. If you like it pls click Thanks..

The best source of targeted traffic to your blog is still the natural traffic provided by the search engines. If your blog is new, getting indexed by Yahoo and Google takes time and a lot of effort.

Constantly updating your blog is necessary to attract the search engine spiders. But there is one trick that can be done to get your blog indexed really fast. You may be surprised that Yahoo may do it in one hour. Google can in as fast as 15minutes.

Here?s how. You must have your real simple syndication feed ( RSS ). I prefer using the one provided by feedburner.com. I won?t discuss feedburner anymore. Getting an account is so simple.

    For Yahoo:

    1. Access your My Yahoo page. If you?re not using a yahoo mail, get one.

    2. On ?My Main Tab? click the ?add content? link.

    3. Click the ?Add RSS Feed? link at the bottom.

    4. Type or paste the exact link provided by feedburner, NOT your blog url.

    5. Click ?Add? and you?re done.

If you?re lucky, you will immediately see your feed, the name of your blog and the titles of your posts.

If not, be patient. Try again after an hour. The worst is it may take up to a day.

When you have successfully added your feed to your My Yahoo, you will get an added bonus. Google will follow and index your blog. If you need to be sure, do the same for Google reader. Get a gmail account, look for the ?reader? link. Same principle applies.

    A Simple thanks will do..

    This sounds interesting.
Not that I think its difficult to get any site indexed pretty fast anyway.
But it may provide with more incoming links to our sites so I like it.

Question, I have never done this way so I have really no knowledge about it so I ask.

Why do we need to use feedburner and not just add our rss feed from the blog directly?

this is a classic method, but still works great.

    nice share.

on a side note, you can also add your rss feed to your own Google homepage at iGoogle. this gets you into Google real fast.

Ok, I tried this on one domain I have.

I made a blog inside an folder.
I did what was said and the blog is still not indexed, and its been over 24h.

But the main folder of the domain has a cloaked domain on it and I got that one indexed only after 1 hour with my regular methods.

I don't know if I was unlucky or that this does not work.

I am guessing it works, but its not so much 100% foolproof.
It works sometimes and sometimes not I would guess.

I do 'em all, Yahoo, Google, Msn, and Feedburner.

The reason that Feedburner works better than before is that Google bought out Feedburner.

I think I can automate this. I did that before. It consumes huge amount of bandwidth when google blogsearch spider scan and scan your sites. Does it bring traffic. Sort off....

Traffic seems to come from google blog search rather than google search. I did that for some of my domains. Any other experiences?
