For those looking for alternatives (like me), I've been using gplplugins.club for the past week since Festinger was offline. Mostly tried it because it's cheap, but doesn't inspire much confidence. Any others?

I also got the $2 monthly plan from them which allows 3 downloads every day. But the plugins are hit and miss most of the files are not activated some of them are not even valid files.
Also there is no support for reporting files.

As a company, we cannot risk the financial penalties of $25k due to the ex-parte ruling. We have to hold our services until we receive the verdict of the 2nd short hearing.
We received confirmation from the court that it is scheduled for November 27th, 2024. We will update everyone about the progress, but we are not going anywhere.
The court has already acknowledged some of Automattic’s claims' flaws, and we hope that the upcoming hearing will bring us closer to lifting the ex-parte ruling.

So to be full transparent festingervault can be closed for 3 month, can be for 6 month or can be forever.

We're holding our services till the verdict of the short hearing to lift the ex-parte ruling.

I will have to use alternatives in the meantime

After all, you have now informed us that the second appointment will take place on 27.11. So you will probably be able to reopen your store on December 15 - in the best-case scenario.

Keep it transparent, otherwise the trust will be gone. Finally, I can't see any information about the current situation on your own homepage, except that there was a first hearing. So far, your lawyers have apparently not been able to publish a simple update.

Nice you said next hearing November 27th. Now we can choose what to do.
To be clear for all at the best scenario you will be open by 2025-01-01 due to Big holidays etc...
I like your service very much and been one of the first 20 members to join :) but time to move on i guess, i have no doubt in you but this situation is very unpredictable. Hope you will figure it out some day :)

By the way admins @BassTrackerBoats should check this topic because a lot newbies just spam this thread with "sample" etc and just trashes the forum, i think you need to lock this thread until situation would be solved, because now for few month service is not working and not gonna work for 2 more...

I don't know why trust will be gone and how to keep it transparent as this is a court case and you shouldn't reveal everything until the final call is made.

As long as you can get your refund from Festinger, I don't know what else to expect from him and how you lose trust in his service because it is a shitshow brought up by Matt, who keeps shitting till this day with his newest shitshow "Wordpress.org is his own property", not by Festinger.

Oh, a refund is not desired at all. I was able to use the Vault for 1 year, its fine.

And yet I would like to see better communication. As soon as the court order came in, he also published an update. So far so good. Then suddenly came the information about a 2nd application. This raises the question: had this information been available for some time? If so, why not communicate it openly right away? Some of us would have been prepared for this straight away: well - the whole thing will take at least 3 months .. time to find alternatives. That's what I mean by trust and COMMUNICATION.

Nobody here has claimed that I want to know every detail of a court hearing - publishing dates is not a violation ;D I also realize that Matt started the whole thing. But that doesn't change the situation.
 
I am really curious on how big of a business this was to catch Automatic's and Woo's attention... I know i will not learn that but i am quite curious about it.
 
I can confirm I received a prompt refund from Festinger for the time not used.

I do wish him the best of luck with getting this resolved and will gladly resubscribe as soon as the service becomes available again.
 
Hmm, that is quite unfortunate, about the second hearing. Since your messaging was talking about moving on after the first hearing. If I knew this I would have find another alternative, till you are back.

I got charged the last 2 months that I couldn't use as service is down. I want a refund!

The man has 20+ threads on BHW alone giving away their services over the years. They have provided a lot to the community.

They were even transparent when it came to the court proceedings & an eventual hearing. You even have the verdict date listed in this thread. :eek:

They've been much more honest than some of these sellers would've been.

Have some patience. :)

Deserving patience is one thing and I agree with that.

Not switching of the charging users on subscription while it's resolved is a sneaky move.
Especially after multiple users tole hime here that they got charged while it's all on hold.
So he knows about it for sure.
