Im from the UK and heard on the news about those guys getting ill after that drug trial, man if only you saw what some of them looked like. It was horrific hearing their families talking about what was going on in that room.
Imagine just being part of the placebo group in one of those trials, watching this crazy shiz happening around you and thinking "oh crap im next".
Id never do this personally.

I have seen one of my friend go through this. I dont know if you would believe me but now he has got blood cancer. He was paid around $7000 for the test but thats it. No insurance and the company that did the test has shut down so he is now left high and dry.
