    Hello BHW members,

I'm starting my quest to better future. This is going to be all or nothing journey. I'm going to put all my effort and mind into this. I'm going to start a website and in 3 months make it an authority site. There is a lot of disscussions what is an authority site, let me define what I mean by that.

    My goals in 3 months:
    1. 10'000 UV a month
    2. Adsense CTR - 7%
    3. Average CPC for the keywords 1$
    4. 25 CB/Amazon sales per month.
    5. Monthly income 900$

    Briefly about the strategy:

I was struggling about the strategy how should I go about creating a big site. I have never done it before. I was working with MNS, but now I'm a big boy and I want to go bigger. So I was going trough forums looking for some ideas and then I came to the conclusion.

"Im going to build a huge site with little MNS sites inside it, that are related!" Well in this case the MNS will be categories, not actual domains. If someone is going to start to complain like *Read this in a little brats voice*"Well this is how you make big sites you stupid *insert swear word here* !" Well I don't give a damn. Because I have never done it before and I figured this out on my own. So just give me a cookie for it.

Back to the strategy, So a huge site with a lot of related MNS inside it. And creating a comunity inside the site. For that using a forum and e-mail newsletter to keep it alive. And using Social media like Twitter, facebook, youtube etc. to get the comunity going.

I'm going to use Fiverr gigs. For now I think that I won't use any tools my self. I won't write the articles my self as well, because I'm not the best writer. I know there is a lot better guys out there that can do a lot better job for relatively cheap money.

    What I have:
    1. 400$ in my pocket. (The budget for this project)
    2. Some basic knowledge in IM
    3. Huge motivation to go till the end.

This project is launching on 12 march. This is when I will start working on the website. For now I'm just gathering information and still trying to find someone that can do great KW research.

When the project will start I will try to update as much as possible.

    And one more thing,

    Traffic souces 100%
    Google 50%
    Twitter 15%
    Youtube 5%
    Facebook 15%
    Yahoo 5%
    OTher 10%
    Talk to you soon,

Good idea, but I would start with MNS first and then work your way up.

Authority websites have a higher starting cost and it would probably take a couple months to get up all the content. Also, authority websites generally need unique content posted fairly frequently and on a daily basis. Most of your $400 would go to purchasing articles.

MNS is easier to rank with a lower start up cost. You can make some good cash daily with several MNS and little content. What I would recommend doing is experimenting with MNS and get more money to spend on articles for your authority site. There is a lot of risk in authority sites especially if you spend big money on content and the site fails.

I'm not trying to discourage you, but authority sites are high risk high reward. Whereas MNS is lower risk but they can still garner some good profit. Be sure to check out the two threads by Danny1111 and Maecenas23, there very informative and I learned a lot.

I wish you the best of luck in whatever path you choose!

Not sure if authority sites are really that risky. IF you build a real authority site, that means YOU ARE THE AUTHORITY ON X, than it should be easy to monetize the site. Authority sites are actually a save way to go. The problem is that you can't build an authority site the same way you build a MNS. Building an authority site takes more time than building MNS. It's all about quality content and giving the visitor something that has a real value (imho).

Too bad this never took off. The strategy sounded great.
