One thing I like to do is take advantage of linkmetro.com

It is basically a giant link exchanging program, but what I do is register all my websites and never send out any links of my own. Then other people try to initiate an exchange for a reciprocal link and when they do that, they put your link on their site. I never respond, and that is now a one way link.

You won't get a ton of links this way, but they come in randomly (look realistic to SEs I would think) and its little work for some benefift.

Thanks for this great idea. Will check out. Do you know any other link exchange services maybe?

Reporting back, I have approx 25 link requests (active backlinks) from other linkmetro users. These are all from 3 or 4 different sites. Seems like these requests were automated. Links are active, but links are not indexed by Google.

I might use it for its intended purpose and actually do an exchange to acquire decent links.

I saw those automated requests too. If those links aren't indexed, why do these nothingburger sites have solid Alexa rankings for virtually nil content? Does anyone here use LinkMetro Advanced?
