    Ok,

I seriously need to know how seo/ marketing companies can guarantee this. Im a noob, and I've had my blog for around 3 months and still haven't got any higher than page 17 on google. Other than backlinking, what other ways are there to push your site/blog onto the first page?

    Thanks for looking!

    Esh

What kind of title is that. No one can guarrantee that for organic search. I can guarantee you can get first page in google in less than a day but using Adwords.

a noobish question but since its Christmas i will leave a more friendly reply than the others:rolleyes:
whoever that tells you they can bring you to page 1 ask for some proof and ask for how they do it and no one can guarantee you to be #1 but its possible to be on the first page and it always depends on the competition of your chosen keyword.

As someone said adwords or they optimise your site and change it so you will be found for obscure longtail keywords
as in "The best male jewish dentist in Swansea" ;)

Of course nobody can guarantee you 1st page listing 100%, but it is possible. If they already have 1st page listing for their client and he had stopped paying it is a matter of simple 301 redirect to get you to that 1st page position replacing the other client's page.

It's an issue because the title sounds like you are offering advice instead of asking for help. Of course people want to know a guaranteed way to get on the 1st page. That's what will draw many readers. If the title were ASK or HELP instead of GET then you wouldn't have so many complaints.

First off I want to say that I haven't read through the entire thread I will just go ahead and answer the OP's questions.

    1,
Nobody can guarantee a 1st page ranking. If someone tells you he can guarantee you a 1st page ranking for any keyword within x or even xx amount of days just leave - That person is sadly bad news.

    2,
Other then backlinking you should make sure your onsite optimization is super tight. Do a search here on BHW for onsite optimization there is TONS of great information even some guides.

    Good luck bud!

I was looking at one such SEO company (aplus seo). What I could figure out is they have about 400 unique domains, ip doesn't vary that much. They are either the owners of those sites or do seo/design/hosting service for them and drop the links.
