[GET] Mailchimp | A Free / Alternate Solution to Aweber

While looking for an auto responder / email solution for a client's website, I came across this little gem:

which is the perfect solution for those starting out with their email lists.

It allows you to handle up to 500 subscribers and send up to 3,000 emails a month for free, they don't even ask for a credit card.

They also carry wordpress plugins if you need them and a ton of other "form" solutions for your website.

Everything pretty much works like aweber, double opt in and all the other toys that we are used to.

It also allows you to "import" email addresses Not tested yet but might come in useful when hitting Craigslist

I have it, and used it for a campaign I needed to send to some producers, director, etc. It is very very easy to set up. I dont have any complaints so far...I guess since I just needed the basic package which is free.

Inboxing is a big issue.
My confirmation email from them landed up in spam of my yahoomail account.
Aweber is way better. Always inboxed.
Getresponse inboxed 50% times

Mailchimp works very well for me. All inboxed, even hotmail mails.

Um, isn't this suppose to be d/l section. Thought is an application to d/l , coz thats what is usually share in this section - no offense folks !

I dig Mailchip a lot. Use it on one of my wp (wordpress version 2.3 or higher) blogs
