Get at least 1 whitehat site in 2016.

This is one of my thoughts too. Have a whitehat product/service that needs less time to maintain.

No such thing as whitehat SEO.All SEO is blackhat in the eyes of Google.Google wants to buy ads period,Google lives on ads.Even so called white hat sites get hit by Google updates that is reality.

I'm trying to go full on whitehat these days. Blackhat has made me some good money but it's not sustainable. I don't want to be working from home and suddenly have my income source come crashing down overnight, because it's happened before and it's a terrible feeling.

While I definitely can agree with the sentiment behind the original poster's post, I need to point out one thing: Black hat SEO will never go away.

I know it sounds crazy.

I know that there are lots of people saying that the sky is falling, but the reality is that black hat SEO will never go away.

Why?

Whenever Google comes out with solutions, there will always be people who will find ways around that solution.

There is no such thing as a perfect system.

Google is a work in progress.

While it is true that they've gotten much better in cracking down on black hat techniques, there will always be chinks in Google's armor.

This is why SEO will always remain a cat and mouse game forever.

Unless Google switches to a completely closed system, black hat SEO will still remain.

While the original poster is spot on in suggesting that we should create our own white hat websites, we should look at this as side projects.

The main focus should be if you're a black hat SEO is to step your game up.

Keep up with the times and roll with the punches.

Totally agree.

Im currently working on a complete whitehat site for a friend, getting backlinks is the hardest part as its a local seo site.

The site is in a very small local niche and its a brick and mortar company.

Getting local backlinks is near impossible as the main places to place links is biased and mods delete them immediately, the mods only have power over 1 small forum on a larger forum.

Main competition are brick and mortar companies who are now refusing customers who open have/show products they bought from the company im helping (thats good and bad).

Im itching to do a pbn but its a long term site that have said they dont not want anything unnatural what so ever, some of their suppliers give a backlinks (quality links) but many dont.

Social citations are their main asset, all real accounts involved and interested in the niche and so far its working ok but it could be better.

I respect the people who hire me and will stay whitehat on their site even though i know competitors are blackhat and i believe i could beat them but thats all part of the job.

You just make my day with "Want a Good 2016? Donate Some Beer!
Remember - Karma ALWAYS returns. People who donated me in last years are now rich!"

Good post thu :P

This is my strategy too.. Am getting old to be agile for all the BH needs... Lol :-)

On the long run you don't have to worry to be penalized by Google Panda or Penguin if you stick to white hat SEO.
