[GET] Aged - indexed - Domains with PR

Oh please,

based on
your assumption, you think I haven't bought one before and tried this out? So i find it hypocritical that you would even throw such a invalid claim.

I have bought GoDaddy domains before, as what you have posted, and some of these domains DO lose their PageRank's. I am only telling from what I've had experience with. Just because it worked for you, doesn't mean it works for everyone else, doesn't mean it makes you right all the time, doesn't make you god.

go search around BHW and you'll see that some people had their domains dropped PR.

I've bought SEVERAL domains with high pr. Within a few months, some of them dropped little, some drop pr's completely. You have to admit it, some domains that you buy off Godaddy or any other auction place does this. You can't just hide the fact that this isn't a bulletproof investment for high pr's.
You're telling me that out of you 100's domains, none of them have EVER dropped a single PR? That's just as crazy as of claim as you thought I was making.

Domains lose PR. It's not impossible.

So before you get up all in arms and calling me "people like you", be appropriate where available. I find that high offensive that you categorize people like that.

I'm just don't see why you're attacking me all of sudden.

That's actually true, some domains do lose their PR. I found that some of godaddy's domain auctions pr are fake, and others just don't have the same backlinks as before.

I've bought one like a month ago, and did everything to make it look like the old site. It had PR 3, not fake (checked), but dropped pr 1 just a few days ago.

Best of luck trying to build quality links to retain that PR.

You are 100% wrong. If you buy a pr domain and it loses pagerank it is because of something else such as the pagerank being fake or that pagerank no longer being justified.

And no they do not drop because I make sure that the pagerank is justified before buying them.

See? That's where you're being confusing to members. First you say that Google can't drop your PR, now you're saying that it can drop?

My first post was that the domain can drop, even if you make it reflect to the original site. You say I'm 100% wrong, but you make no sense.

First off,

Domains can lose their PR, even if they have backlinks built to them, and if they look exactly the same as the old site. You can't say this is wrong.

Even your post says so:
I sold a site 6 months ago in which time the pagerank dropped from a PR4 to a PR2.

A few days ago I recieved negative feedback on flippa with the following now showing on my account: Lost its PR - its now a PR2

I not once mentioned on the listing that I would maintain the pagerank yet after contacting flippa they refused to remove the negative feedback.

I do not know what to do in this situation as keeping a 100% positive feedback is very important to me which is the reason why I offer lifetime support with all of my sales.

It seems that the only way to remove the negative feedback is to ask the buyer to ask for the feedback to be removed which would more than likely involve me refunding the sale.

I could create a brand new account but I currently have 37 transaction which shows that i'm a trusted seller. Also I'm not sure if i'm allowed to create another account.

After contacting flippa they confirmed that they would not remove the negative feedback.

Any advice on this would be appreciated

What's that? You posted about a domain dropped PR? NO WAY! I thought you said it had to have a fake pr to drop? Unless of course, you were selling fake pr on flippa too?

Don't bother arguing with me. Why argue? Isn't this a friendly community? I didn't start this, you did.

You go as far as saying I'm 100% wrong, without even considering what I even said? That's preposterous! :D

Did you want to argue me again to prove me wrong that PR can't drop?

The pagerank was not dropped it went down to a pr2 which means that it still has pagerank.

You are going off topic here, you said that later the pr will drop.

That reference from another thread is not relevant, the pr went down because the pagerank was being pushed out to external sources.

This is a forum right? A place where people can debate and learn from each other, I'm sorry that you don't like the truth. But My only intention is to offer my knowledge and stop misleading information being published on this forum.

Then it's actually miscommunication.

You thought I meant that the domain will no longer have a PR. I didn't mean that for all godaddy auction domains.

I mean that some of your godaddy auction domains will:
1) Have the same PR
2) drop pr to lower pr
3) drop pr completely.

By "drop" , i meant these examples:
My pr dropped to 2, etc.

And it is actually relevant to link to another thread because it's citing sources where is needed to show that domains can still possibly lose pr (whether it is decreased pr, or completely).

So it's still very likely that your godaddy domain auctions will decrease in pr or drop completely, especially if it isn't maintained, but even so it's very possible.

Never said you couldn't debate did I?

The truth? Please, you misread my post, and how could my post differ from the truth? I stated that domains can lose pr. You claim this false, therefore that makes you a hypocrite.

Okay, instead of trying to figure out who has the biggest epenis and who is right and wrong. I will just close the thread.

Good day.

:edit

I have opened the thread again, but please keep it clean of e-penis arguments (no insults and sly comments).

OK, as there are experienced people here in buying godaddy auction domains... have any of you ever bought a high pr domain with:
  • zero backlinks or
  • domain that has been redirected to other site before...

and eventually the domain PR hasn't been dropped?

When you buy a high pagerank domain there is no proof that Google drops the pagerank or even half of the pagerank as RidiculeMe is stating.

I have seen some strange things when buying PR domains and the most common is a domain has valid pagerank but it doesn't have any backlinks pointing to it.

The steps should always be to make sure the pagerank is valid and then make sure that it has justifiable pagerank pointing to it.

If you have found a PR4 domain and you want to see if the links pointing to it are justified then you should be looking for a page that is PR4+ and make sure the link on that page is not over saturated with other links. I like to use the seomoz metrics and majesticseo for this.

What fathom is saying is correct. Never buy a pr domain with no backlinks. I mentioned this in another thread, but you have to stop and think how a url gets its pagerank. There are a few factors actually, but the biggest factor is the links that are pointing to it. Where are the links coming from? What is their pagerank? How many outbound links are on that page?

Here has been my criteria for buying domains with pr:

1. How many pr3, pr4, pr5 links are pointing at it.
2. How many obl's on those pr3, pr4, pr5.
3. They have to be d o f o l l o w, remember we are going for pr juice here
4. How old those links are, and if they are on a site that is constantly updated. Why is this important? If it looks like the webmaster updates the site, they may remove the link if you dont replicate the old site exactly.

You can get a pretty good idea whether or not a domain will keep its pr when you get it by looking at those factors. And keep in mind, you're gonna be paying around $150-$200 for a valid pr3, and $200+ for a valid pr4. You may get lucky and have one slip through the cracks and get it on closeout, but I wouldnt bet on it. Like it was mentioned earlier in this thread, there are people who do this for a living and snatch up these domains, at least the good ones :D

I've been watching Godaddy closeouts/auctions for few days and what makes impression:
  • Real high PR domains don't have Buy now for $5/$10
  • One usually have to bid for high PR domains
  • I see many real PR3 domains end with 5 or 10 bids and eventually were bought for $160...

I thought that a PR3 domain cost not more than $30, but the above makes me believe that if you want to buy real PR3+ domain, you should spend much more than $30, No?

Yes, PR3 domain names, or maybe even PR2 will probably get snatched up in auction. And not go to closeout at $5. There's probably hundreds if not thousands of people checking all the time. Which is again why it's obvious, the OP's list are all fake PR.
If you don't know even how to check for fake PR, you shouldn't be buying these at all.

Todor, as for why PR3s are getting sold for $100+, it's like any other type of bidding. It could be there's value to the website besides the PR, or just noobs bidding it up. Like stupid stuff getting sold of insane amount of money on Ebay.
