He guys I had a link removed from google due to a DMCA complaint. I guess I used an image that was someone else's. I of course took the image down and would like to get the link restored in the search results, except I have no idea how to go about doing so. Any help would be appreciated.

Change your post permalink, remove or change a word and it will be ok. You can also redirect your old permalink to new one.

It's something that happens all the time at online movies websites.

Thats not a bad idea. I had considered it but didnt want to lose the backlinks. But a redirect should forward all the link power to the new permalink structure right?
