I am not an expert at internet marketing but I'll give my 2 cents to whoever wants to hear.

You need money to make money.

Well really you don't. But if you don't have money, you are so limited in what you can do. Like what methods require zero investment? Almost none. You need a domain, hosting, you need to buy scripts, website designing, outsource link buildings, data entry, softwares, media buying, ppc, ppv and so on.

Of course you can start with zero $. But it will take you longer. It might take you forever actually (just my opinion).

    You might as well:

    1. Get a fucking job.
    2. Stop Spending. I make more than 90% of the people in canada yet I spend 1k per month living DOWNTOWN montreal. I know it's not New York but still, I eat a lot of sandwiches and when I go to the bars I drink water. I dont even take the subway because it's a waste of $3. If you can't make this sacrifice then you might not make money for a while, maybe forever.
    3. Don't fucking watch TV. Work. Always work. The only time you should not be working, is when you are doing something you like (such as fucking a beautiful girl (banging fatties < work) or playing tennis or whatever it is you like).
    4. Then buy stuff. I don't mean buy all the stupid methods/ebooks that come out that are either outdated or yet another software to scam email submits. But buy outsourcing. Buy websites. Buy the good stuff for fuck sake.

If you are indian, forget what I just said. But you should probably start your own outsourcing business.

lol, totally agree with you! Unless you are making a pretty good income every month that enough to support your life otherwise get a job or study! Don't waste all your time surfing forums, buying useless ebooks and softwares.

Well it is a nice theory one that gurus would like you to believe . However that is sooo incorrect.

That is soooo far off base that it is not even funny . If you have no clue what you are doing yeah it may cost you something to get started .

If you know what you are doing you can turn a simple wordpress into a 200 or 300 dollar a day business.

There is sooo much you can do online to earn an easy 100 dollars a day . Now here is where the problem lies when that 100 dollars a day turns into a necessity where you HAVE to have it and than an emergency pops up and you need 5k almost over night . Now that sucks . But still even coming up with 5k is not really that hard just have to pull some red eyes .

Just a word ehre I am not speaking out my ass . I just had an emergency pop up where I needed 5k almost sold one my businesses that was earning 500 a month . But I just put on my thinking hat came up with an idea implemented the idea and a couple days later I have over half the money I needed . I will have the other half in a day or 2 .

The idea I had cost me a total of .69 cents to implement .

i started with nothing, granted i did have access to alot of stuff if i needed it, but i wanted to see if i could make an income "from nothing".

Granted i had a PC & internet connection. But everything i did, i could of done at a local library for free on their machines.

Ofc, now, it's different, but i'm still glad i did everything that way. i learnt alot of lessons and i'm better because of it!

I also start with nothing and made up to 1,2k in a month, but for big money, you need often to invest, that's right.

This money you can take from your non-investment earnings, or the old-school way - from 'working'.

    jobs..... fuck to them

ive never spent a penny of my own money in 5 years of IM.... everything i buy online for personal or business use is paid by my online income... i have never touched a penny of my own money

if you need to buy hosting go and do some forum posting at 0.10 per post 700 posts in your day and you have covered your cost... even better go write two articles for $4 each and you made the cash.... its simple.... same for a domain.... or even just outsource it to someone for cheaper and make $2 or so profit and do it a few times if your not into working....

okay with most of them you do need money.... but time = money if you known how to use your time and so no personal initial investment is ever required it instead should be stated that you use less or no time if you use personal capital.

good luck people but if i can do it for 5 years and still make decent cash so can you :)

i guess..... i also started like jammie with nothing. the whole idea for me was to make money using the internet, not money invested in things on the internet. since i was 15 i learned that spending money on the internet= getting scammed. but now i know what are scams and what aren't; usually ill go here to find out for sure tho lol.

anyway i hope yall get jobs and take this post to heart
    GO GET JOBS PPL!!!!!!!

...that way theres more money left over for me! ahaha

I would agree with the replies; if you know what you are doing, you don't really need much to start out with. It doesn't matter if you have money, if it's used in the wrong places, it's the same as having none at all.

I don't think a job is necessary, but some sort of income source is important. You can do freelance writing or something. Just to make sure you have dollars coming in because you don't know how your marketing methods will work out in the future.

Personally I think that you can make money without any funds, but if you have some money it can go a long way in making the process easier.

Having a job is a nice safety net. I have a really good 9-5 job, and it comes with great benefits like health insurance and stock options for example.

does it suck going in there everyday? sometimes. But I get to interact with other people, learn from seasoned software engineers and KNOW that i'll be making 7k/month every month. there is no guessing.

online income is supplimental for me right now. It's nice to have guarenteed money when the mortgage payment comes around

Just an example - I once had a method that made me ~1k a month without any investments required (besides like $25 for a few domains). Than I decieded to invest a few hundred bucks into some nice tools and outsourcing and - boom - my revenue generated by this method jumped from 1k a month to 10-15k.

Sure you can make money with zero investment. But to scale things up significantly, you need cash. You only have like 14-16 hours a day to work, if you want to take things further, you need to buy other peoples time (employees, code, whatever), too.

Although I agree that you should invest the money you make online back into your business and not use any savings, besides a few bucks to set up the very basics.
