Getting content for my first tier links is a crappy job. I only want high quality articles pointing to my money site. So either you spent lots of money or you go with spun content. I am always on the lookout for new content creation techniques and finally found something that I have not seen before. And it's very simple.
1) Go to a library and find a book on a topic relevant to your money site. Open it on a couple of random pages and choose a sentence. Enter it in google (in quotes). If nothing comes up, you're good.
2) Go to a copy center and have them scan it and copy it to your usb stick. An entire 200 page book takes them 30 minutes. I go get a beer while they work for me. I pay $5 per 200 pages.
Some will put all the images in one single pdf. Some will put all images in separate jpegs.
3) If you have a pdf, get Soda PDF (free). Use the OCR function. This will convert the images to editable text.
4) If you have separate images: Use 'OCR to word' (free). This will also convert the images to editable text.
5) If the scans are good, these programs will have no trouble recognizing the text. Works with all languages.
Now you have at least a 100 articles of unique text, perfect for linkbuilding.
I wouldn't use this on your blog or money site, because it is illegal to 'steal' someone else's content, but it's great for your first tier.
- I have tried this with ebooks that you can download from itunes for example. But there is always a handful of results with that exact text. So there are people doing this already, just not with books.
- Also, try to avoid books with special characters and images. The ocr programs can't process these and you'll have a lot of work editing the files.
- There are a bunch of tools you can use for this. Find one that works for you. Even office has a tool that can do this.
