So, I've been offered a PR6 blogroll link as well as 2/3 links in an article if I write the article(around 500 words). There's only around 5 links to other sites on it too.

This seems like an amazing deal to me but I don't know much about this sort of thing tbh. How much would a PR6 link usually be?

    Thanks

Is this a lifetime link? Or a limited timeframe?

A lifetime link...I've paid as much as $100 for something similar before. With that said though I don't pay that much all the time.

    Crap. Forgot to mention that.

The links in the article will be lifetime, the blogroll links are for a few months.

That's all well known, he's not addressing PR as a linking factor. He's talking about it as a ranking factor.

Your PR does not mean jack regarding your rank. A PR0 site can outrank a PR10 site, it's just dependent on the keyword. If it did, then the search results for every keyword ever would be the exact same... Just a descending list of pages in Google's indexed arranged by PR.

In short... Facebook is PR10, but does not rank top 10 for "fish." wondersofwildlife.org outranked Facebook for "fish," and they're PR5 only.

On topic.. I have shelled out a pretty penny for PR6 blogroll links before. IIRC, they ran me anywhere from $75-200/mo depending on other factors (relevance, page placement, etc.) I will tell you right now, though.. If you're dancing or having trouble getting that extra edge, these will clean up your campaign QUICK. Paid links stopped my Google dance and cemented me firmly in #2.
