So I have been a blackhatter for a few years now, and my journeys have taken me many places. From just about any common method on here, to self reflection and improvement. I finally landed on coding as my favorite way to try and get a piece of pie on the internets, and although not as successful as some methods, I enjoy it and put more time into it.

That being said, I had 10 hours to make a game for a competition on newgrounds, and rushed a game out. I was looking for some pity 5 star votes from the community. newgrounds .com/portal/view/616621?updated=1 (take the space out, no direct linking etc...).

Also as a follow up, if anyone here is interested into getting into programming, or already knows how to program and was wondering how to turn that skill into profit, send me a PM or something, I have been pursuing personal finance through programming for a little over a year now and make enough to support myself. I'll be happy to answer anything I can, or share what I've learned during the time.

Gave ya a 5...It would probably take me 12 days rather than hours to make a game like that. Good job!

You use Construct 2 too! Not bad for 10 hours of work. Gave you 5 stars.

I just started making games myself, and I think I have some good concepts to work with. My only problem is trying to find a decent artist whose not a total flake.

As others said, it's not bad at all for the time invested in working. Good luck. Voted.

That was my number 1 problem for a long time. I finally ended up joining a team that had some credibility through the unity forums on their project. After getting to know the guys, and showing my work ethic on their project, they are glad to do up some art on my request. Best of all, the project of theirs is also going to make me some money back.

So my advice is to not give up, get through all the flakes until you find someone that sticks, and it's probably better to fill a position than seeking people for your own things, at least until you make a few connections.

Also, I forgot to mention. You can use resources like opengameart .org, for a bunch of free art (though be sure to follow whatever licenses set by the uploader, such as giving credit). You may not find everything there, but it will be enough to get you started, or use place holder art and build something until someone comes along and replaces everything.
