    Hi all,

I look at this section of the forum everyday and I've never seen anyone do a journey thread that focuses on the style of Internet Marketing I'm about to embark upon, so I thought I would do one myself so that we can all learn from each other and hopefully make some money together in this area.

For the last two months I've been developing a website that will earn money through gambling affiliate advertising. I recently did some research and discovered that gambling was one of the fastest growing markets in the world, due to more people getting desperate for cash due to the global recession.

The obvious problem is that gambling affiliate advertising is mostly saturated, but I believe I've found a tiny gap in the market with the potential to make a decent amount of money from the lucrative revenue share deals that gambling affiliates offer.

The website is almost complete and will be launching in the next couple of weeks. It combines a very popular up and coming sport with betting tips and predictions relating to that sport.

    Here is my strategy:

    - Add between 5 - 10, 300 - 1000 word articles to the site every week. [I wish it could be more but I work full time]
    - Try to find enthusiasts of the targetted sport who will write articles for my website for free, in exchange for back links to their blog, Facebook page, Twitter feed etc.
    - Post at least 2 new videos to my Youtube channel every month relating to my sporting niche.
    - Spend $100 a month on Facebook advertising to target potential customers who are interested in my sporting niche and gambling.
    - Actively promote my website and articles through Facebook, Twitter and Google+ on a daily basis.
    - Get ranked on page 1 of Google for all my keywords.

    My Goal:

I want to create a better life for my family more than anything else in the world. To achieve this I need to earn $2000 a month in order to support them by being able to pay all our monthly bills and living expenses. I am setting myself the goal of earning $2000 a month within 12 months. This will allow me to quit my day job, giving me more time to focus on my own Internet Marketing Projects and hopefully grow an online marketing empire.

    My Strengths:

    - In my day job I work as a web designer for the largest company in the United Kingdom. As a result I am able to develop sites that look great, very quickly.
    - I used to work as a writer and my native language is English so I should be able to write interesting content that people will keep coming back for.
    - I am extremely passionate about the sport I am focusing on and I know a lot about it, hopefully this passion will transfer over to the reader through my writing style!
    - I used to gamble a lot online and therefore I understand what makes gamblers tick, which will hopefully lead to more conversions!

    What I've done so far:

    - Setup gambling affiliate accounts with every major gambling company in the world. [Over 30 accounts in total, covering all the major global markets like the UK, US, Canada, Australia, Korea, China]
    - Develop Geo IP Advertising on my website, so that visitors receive gambling adverts from companies that operate in their country.
    - Uploaded 5 videos to my Youtube channel with my website URL as a watermark over the videos and in the description. These videos have generated 30,000 completely organic views in just 3 weeks!
    - Finished building the website, I just need to write a few more articles and then it's ready to launch.
    - Built a Twitter account up with 6000 followers.
    - Built a Facebook page with 650 likes.

What I need to do next:

    - Finish adding the essential content that I need on the site for launch.
    - Find some volunteers to write news articles for my site, who are passionate about my sporting niche.
    - Start building a few manual, high quality links.
    - Start promoting the site on Facebook and Twitter.
    - Launch!

So far I haven't had that much traffic on the site, but I did get two customers sign up for gambling accounts. Neither of them have deposited any money, but I will get my revenue share if they deposit money in the future.

If you guys have got any words of encouragement or advice I'd really appreciate it!

I will keep you guys up to date with how things are going and eventually post the link to my website, so that you guys can see it for yourselves!

    :):):):):):):):):)

great stuff I'm considering doing a similar thing with a UK gambling review site, complete with an offer for every online casino I review. Not that I would be first to the party but if I drive traffic and turn a profit, who cares right?

Will definitely be following your progress

Cheers mate, I'm from the UK too and I believe there is a massive market over here that we can cash in on!

Most content on gambling websites is complete trash and not very useful to anyone. I'm hoping that by providing good quality content, people will keep coming back to the site and this will hopefully boost conversions.

If you're planning on doing a Casino review site, you should checkout this plugin for Wordpress:

    http://codecanyon.net/item/premium-...em&WT.seg_1=category_item&WT.z_author=AA-Team

It makes it really easy to do those rich snippet reviews for Google advertising, which is supposed to be good for SEO and click through from Google searches. It might give you an edge over your competition!

I live in California but gambling online is illegal in the US and I only speak English so I think the UK is my best bet :)

and thanks for that link :)

    Hi mate,

There are now several online gambling companies that accept US players.

These include Bovada, BetOnline, Sports AG and TopBet.

I've done a hell of a lot of research on this.

    :)

Gambling is massive in the UK mate. You've only got to look at the gambling companies that advertise on prime time TV and sponsor Premier League football teams to realise how much money there is in it.

It must cost millions of pounds to advertise in the Premier league but there are at least 10 gambling companies that do it.

i know the guy that runs this website, he is from the same City as me:

    http://www.freebets.co.uk

He pulls in 7 figures from that website alone and has just moved to Abu Dhabi for tax purposes.

Great vision and game plan!! I am also from the UK and have a nice idea for a Tipsters page. I am thinking Facebook is the key. I see many tipsters pages on FB and they have 10,000's of likes / followers. Even if 1% of them are paying, say, £10 subscription a month for these mediocre tips. that is still bringing in £1000's a month. If you have high quality tips that 1% could easily rise to nearly 10% bringing in 10,000's a month.
That is just through Facebook. With your youtube video's high count organic views and your quality content website you are sure to make a lot more than 2000 a month. Your friend bringing in 7 figures says it all really!!
Well played to him & hopefully us too in the near future.

Good luck on your journey, mate.

Make sure you mix bookmaker offers with clickbank offers. Being a bookie affiliate nowadays is not very profitable, unless you're long in the business and have an established user base.

Dropped you a PM - the gambling industry is hit or miss but if you stick at it then you should do well. I've seen (with proof) of some guys making over £70k p/m from rev share and I've also seen those level of accounts drop to negative balances over £100k. CPA has been good for me as it tends to fluctuate less - good luck!
