So I got the SII yesterday for Andriod development, and after playing with it for hours I have to say that my iPhone 4 can't touch it. I had office open on the SII last night and managed to type a 500 word article without many issues pretty quickly with their touch screen keyboard. I can't do it on the iPhone. It probably has something to do with the feedback vibration you get when you touch a key, but I find it much nicer. The screen is slightly bigger, but the phone feels much lighter. Price wise the SII cost me £499 the iPhone 4 cost me £680 (not sure if they've came down in price since). The touch on both is good, the iPhone 4 has slightly better transitions when scrolling and flicking through pages. I played Angry Birds on both and there was no difference. Camera quality is much better on the SII. Battery seems to live a lot longer on the SII. I was put off by Android when it first released because the quality of apps was poor, but it's been a few years now and Android has defiantly developed a lot. As a developer Java is much nicer and well documented than Objective-C. As a consumer purchasing apps there seems to be much more choice because developers are not scared of the challenges faced with learning a new language to develop on the iPhone. </brain fuck over> I've been an iPhone user for years, but Samsung have just pissed on their chips. Anyone got one or both? Whats your favourite app on the SII? Opinions, thoughts. Keep it clean fanboys.
