I'm a Galaxy S II owner for soon-to-be 2 years, so I decided to share my thoughts about my device and smartphones in general and maybe fire up a discussion.

    Galaxy S II specs:
    4.2" 800 x 480 SuperAMOLED+ (I think)
    1.2GHz Dual-Core processor
    1GB RAM
    16GB internal (+16GB external SD)
    8MP camera w/ 1080p recording @ 30fps
    3G HSDPA

I'm loving the smartphone and all it's features. To be honest, this device is still hi-end in my opinion, because there are berly ANY features missing when comparing to latest quad-core 2GB phones.

There are only a few tiny limitations when we are looking at latest hiend games that squeeze everything out out of latest Tegra 3 / Other Quads. For an example, water is mostly better looking, but is it worth it?

Speakig of user xp, speed is the same as any other hi end phone, nothing noticable anyways.

I don't need Quad-FullHD display, 78Megapixel camera, 6G mobile network and all that crap. ~200 PPI is ok, 8MP and FullHD video recording - more than enough and HSDPA (3G) ~1MB/s internet speed again more than enough.

Only thing that I hate is battery life. Since the day I bought my S II, I'm allways berly making it through 1 day, with some 2day streaks when I berly use my phone. This is the reason why I'll be getting droid razr maxx or razr maxx HD. And you can thrust my words because I was an tech site editor for a whole year and still am a tech geek. A lot of phones I've come across of.

Change the color of your post. I don't think your post is visible.

I have a Galaxy S and it's still rocking. As for the battery, try underclocking. You don't need all that power, unless you are playing games ...

i have the iphone 4s and am not looking to upgrade to the 5. the 4s performs all the functions i need and is pretty outstanding in every way. the only gripe i have about it is, and it's very minimal, the battery doesn't seem to last that long. but, as many functions as it performs i kind of expect this.

I'm thinking about getting the Galaxy Note 2 with the 5000Mah battery upgrade, rooting it to overclock it, an external 14" portable monitor and a Bluetooth keyboard with mousepad. So I can use it for IM and to take full advantage of Sprint's unlimited 4G plan.

I hava a Galaxy SII as well. If I use it some per day I have to charge it every night, if not it can hold for 2 days. But still it takes like 10-15% over night when I don't touch it, it's not that fancy..

I love the phone though, still going strong.

I owned the Galaxy s2 for about 6 months. Personally, it has been the best phone I've ever used. I recently upgraded to the Galaxy Note 2 and it's pretty nice but I had to give up 4G service with it. It only has the hardware to use 4G LTE which isn't yet available in my area (St.Louis, MO). I had rooted my s2 and was able to use a free 4g hotspot wherever I went but now I'm just stuck with 3G and honestly I've thought about switching back to the s2 since my note 2 lacks the hotspot and it's difficult to operate with one hand :/ Just my 2cents.

I've had the SGS2 for over a year and I'm still loving it. I've not really had any battery issues, it easily lasts me the whole day.

I'm not sure if you know but there are two official Samsung battery solutions. You can either get the 2000mAh battery which makes the back of the phone even, or you can get the extended battery power pack case which is bulky but can still be used as an additional battery or charger.

Thanks for advice, yes I knew that, but I realy like my phone slim :)
I keep a spare battery in my wallet. Truth be told, It's mostly empty because I'm too lazy to swap batteries once original is loaded.

Btw my 4$ backup battery fromEbay lasts allmost just as well as the original one
