Matt has this vid out urging ppl to stop blocking G from crawling JS and CSS:

    Code:
    /watch?v=B9BWbruCiDc
If I was G, hell yeah I'd go after content locking. The good thing is that encrypting JS, and blocking G bots from crawling it will be a good defense. But they're ability to examine JS is improving.

    What do you think?

I don't think blocking the g bot from crawling your javascript or css will hurt your overall SEO. He doesn't outright say anything like this in that old video, rather I think he's making an appeal to webmasters to make google's job of detecting sites that use tricky javascripts easier. All my humble opinion of course.

    edit: epic avatar btw
