If G finds your PBN network. Part or Whole. I know they will deindex it thus making it useless. But I am wondering if the money site they were linking too will also get a penalty?

If G finds your PBN, it gets indexed and you rank.
If G doesnt find your PBN, it doesn't get indexed and you don't rank.

Unless you mean manual review, not sure what you mean.

Great question that I unfortunately can only tell you what some bright minds told me. I've never had my PBN deindexed
yet because of Google or my money site hit over a PBN. I've talked to 3 respected people though and what they tell me
is the PBN itself will get deindexed but your money site won't get a penalty.

You would think the big G would hit the money site too right? Meh just don't get caught man. =)

I should do a case study.... Build a PBN wrong and see what happens...

Your PBN will get de-indexed but your sites may or may not be penalized, so it depends. But you will lose your existing rankings.

If your network gets hit, it means it's been manually reviewed so I think it all depends on the quality of your money site if it will be penalised or not.

I've had this happen multiple times using a popular (Public)BN provider a while back. Google essentially did "sweeps" on the network. First I saw 1 money site drop. It dropped from #1 to like page 10. A couple weeks later another money site dropped from #1 to page 6. Then a 3rd money site tanked. I went to check the network and noticed like 70% of the sites were deindexed.

Ironically however, no penalties were transferred to any of the sites. And I was able to rerank those sites with no resistance.

Whats interesting though is I spoke to other people using that network who's sites got penalized. It seemed like Google was much more lenient with local sites but much more aggressive on affiliate sites. Or it could just be that affiliate sites are generally more spammy. IDK.

No, penalty does not automatically pass on to linked sites.

This would be a great case study. If the money site does not get the penalty then really all a person is worried about is losing some money on deindexed sites then it really is a no brainer. My main concern is that money site penalty. If you lose some sites in the process as collateral damage then who cares.

it only affect PBN sites, but if you linked with tons of PBN, then you might get a penalty

PBN gets hit and gets de-indexed, this happens when there is a manual review.
Money site will not get penalised automatically, there has to be a manual review for it to happen.

Understand that here too there is something like negative SEO, just buy your competitor links from de-indexed PBNs, there goes the competitor into penalty.

So penalty to money site is never automatic, it has to be through a manual review or some kind of pattern that G has noticed in all those manual / auto penalties of other sites.

I had my affiliate site ranked top of page 2 , then a network here got deindexed it feel out of top 10 pages. Then i pointed some SAPE and good PBN links at it again. It came back and now is in the top 3 on page 1, but it could definitely vary not sure.

Recent test I have been conducting shows that mass 301s aren't sticking well unless their relevant and really made
to look natural. Back in the day you could build tons of them. Now they are just devalued unless it makes sense.

    That's what I have noticed anyway. =)
