darn! those bastards! I pop3ed every day about 100 of them, and now ... to be more specific... all 1k accounts require a captcha to enter on the web-interface; pop3 does not work anymore.

does anybody have tried out that: forwarding all mails to a non-gmail-account, does that work if you have 1k mails forwarded to the same mail-address?

I wrote my own pop3 to receive email. But querying 100 pop3s per 5 minutes is dangerous, I knew that.
Now those accounts are pretty useless for me.

I think they do not really ban the accounts as if a enterprise or university or whatever connects to the internet via proxy, there would be a similar amount of requests to different pop3-boxes from the same ip.

However, I do not want to loose again accounts, so did you possibly try out to use the same address for forwarding for many gmail-accounts? Any problems there?

you can use the same account for as many gmail IDs as you want. yourID+X@gmail.com and just replace X with a # of your choice - you can go into the billions!

man, you're WAY ahead of me!
I've got 25 gmails, all pop3'd to my main with Outlook, with each attached to a PP account......working on each attached to an EPN account.

If you use your home ISP, and your home mail program, you don't have to specify anything to gmail for the pop3

I'm sure you probably already know that, but this was for anyone else reading :)
