Yeah and anonymous has shut down some fed sites :D An eye for an eye. I'm glad their Cyber vigilanties as themselves to help keep the playing field balanced, I'm sure the feds will think twice before going after other file sharing sites.

Yeah I found this out yesterday myself, but I found it to be an Oxymoron because SWIZZ is in the music industry. I think the founders recruited SWIZZ so he could be the face and use his industry peers to help promote the site.

I guess since record sales are low, and pirating is in full effect, WHY not own a file sharing site that possibly could have your OWN products on there being downloaded for free, but since the site was ranked #13-14 the traffic and money from ADS and user subscriptions would out-weigh any record sale :D.

    SWIZZ is no dummy.

    lol..

    no they won't.

The feds do not give a ratz azz if their site is down.

The guys doing the arrest are not affected.

In fact... the more anonymous takes sites down...
the closer the feds get to busting them.

    you are exactly right.

If your money comes from pirated content...

then now is the time to start building for something else.

lol. Pirated content is what the web is made up of, the feds going after a couple of well known sites is easy. Trying to track down all of the offenders is like trying to find the back of an ear-ring at the beach. And think of the many file sharing sites as grains of sand.

The Gov't is like 15 years behind in trying to curt-tail this. And mainstream media wants everyone off the internet and using the TV as the primary source of information.

FYI It wasn't just some fed sites that anonymous hacked, including was Dept of Justice,FBI and entertainment sites. Trust and believe they care about that.

Apparently it was a "2 year operation" though. It isn't recent, they've been trying to take Mega down for years, same with TPB. The small fry (read: us) are insignificant.

Megaupload will be back in a different way. They are already spreading the new IP address. Over 20k shares already and growing rapidly.

I thought off-shore hosting was un-touchable, I guess if the right people grease the right hands, anything is possible...

I forsee a shitstorm in the coming months, regarding this.
