Hey,
I have an account with a wholesale furniture manufacturer - desks, tables, bedroom sets, futons, etc.
I had fam that used them a decade or more ago, and they would mainly buy tables. They would buy them for around $100-$150 and resell for double+
A lot of it a really nice stuff.
They would assemble the furniture and basically place it out there like on garage sale days - and they'd sell.
So invested like 2K in various furniture mainly dining rooms tables.
I placed it out to sell - and it's not like it used to be the economy is tough people aren't buying it. I even lowered pricing figuring selling more as quantity sales, etc.
Is there another way I can make money with what I have or through another way with this furniture wholesaler?
I've thought about just loading up on futons and trying to sell them via parking lot/truck in the college town nearby?
While they were loading up my order I jived with the other guy that was loading up too and that's what he was doing - He may have only made $30 profits each one but he was selling a lot a day as a weekend gig.
Edited: I wanted to mention on the "garage sale" thing - I live on a main street, everyone in town on the weekend has to pass my house so the items are being seen.
Last Edit: I wanted to mention the guy isn't selling in the city I want to go too (didn't want to make it appear like I'm going to sell on top of somebody).
