All i see most of the time lately is the PR changing or what's the page rank.

PR is nice to know but the most important thing is traffic, and not just any traffic but qualified traffic.

I feel that I get most of my traffic from my little old pr1 sites than from the pr7 sites, and that low PR traffic seems to covert the best. Love to hear for others and there views.

the same goes with the alexa rank.when people start in IM,they get excited about this thing. But little do they know that some sites that have 1 million alexa rank are generating almost 8k profit each month

I agree, I look to find sites that have the type of traffic I need, then try to form a link agreement. similar sites research also helps follow the white hat hilltop method that Google might be using ( and I would think it would give you higher qualified traffic )

You will need quality content to get traffic. I have a pr 0 site getting more than 80 visitors per day (well i have just shifted the domain so the ranks are decreased and getting 80 visitors only) and another pr 2 site which is stable since 6 months (same domain and no shifting) and gets 30 to 40 visitors per day.

Traffic and revenue is my main concern, but still I think having a high PR is important. Many webmasters, especially newbies, instantly give more authority to high PR sites.

It also helps a lot when selling links.
